    Very interesting approach. I wouldn’t have thought that you can dedicate a channel to an instrument. I suppose it gives you your own particular sound. I like the idea of daddy distressor on Kick and the compander on the Snare. I usually put my eq’s before my comps but I have a small patch to change that. Similarly I built 4x JLM LA500 and 4x hairball 1176 into BT50 and LC25 Capis because I could afford them and for lack of space. It also means I can fix them if they break down. Loving the 1176 Rev A’s for vocals and guitars.

    Loved my API 560's, such great tone shaping EQ's (drums, bass, elec gtrz) Too bad I sold them. I've got 6x CAPI LC's now which are also fantastic :) I used to have a bunch of 550b's as well but now I use CAPI BT50's instead of those 😊 Another great video, makes me anxious to start tracking again 😀

    Amazing collection. So why having 3 x 1176(blacks)? You could use 2 for stereo signal or just one of them for a mono, no? thanks

      I got my first 1176 a long time ago and then some years later i could buy the consecutive serial pair... selling an 1176 does not make much sense for me, so i kept it...

      @@MasterclaesVideos "selling an 1176 does not make much sense for me" - no, it would be a big mistake (I use my Rev D everyday). Did you know that you can get different responses with different combinations of the ratio buttons (e.g., 8 and 12 pressed together)? Also, 4 and 20 together is the same as 'all buttons' - I'm addressing everyone here, not only you, Masterclaes :-)

      @@Rid-iculo-us I find it really hard to get all the buttons in at once, so much prefer only needing to press two! Let me know what you think of the other combinations

    Nice :) 1176 are great! When did you buy these compressors? An can I ask what you gave for the bluestripe? ;)

    What would your signal path be for a acoustic guitar with a internal microphone for stage?

      Hi Roger, do you mean microphone or pickup?

    • @rogerclemens2769

      @@MasterclaesVideos I have microphone in my guitar called Mini Flex 2 Mic Model 1. It's awesome. My current signal chain is from the guitar to a WA273 preamp into a mixer. Do you think I could benefit by using a 1176 style compressor?

    • @MasterclaesVideos
      @MasterclaesVideos  3 года назад

      @@rogerclemens2769 I would go for a great Mic-Pre + EQ and a comp yes. Or a very good channel strip!
