This foundation deepens a lot. I’m usually Syracuse, I just bought Vanuatu (I am super pale now because we are at the end of winter). I am going to keep trying this- I think I need a hydrating primer with it. But I love Nars.

I’ve been planning on getting this foundation but I’m very confused about the shade. Aruba’s description is that it’s a cool toned one. While applying or while wearing it throughout the day, did it seem cool toned at all?

I was matched with Valencia, but it's a tad too light, going to exchange or try this shade. I know next to nothing about makeup lol so I was color matched but it's a no. I chatted with a Nars rep and she was upset that I told her I was told to use a brush, she said to use fingers only. You used a brush and slayed! Love it! ❤️

The shade Aruba is usually listed as having an olive undertone (in other Nars foundations)…but in this one, it is listed as having a cool undertone. I didn’t purchase it for that reason, but still it looks like a great match for you or anyone with a similar warm/golden undertone. I wish these foundation shades were less confusing!

Totally agree! I just got shaded for this foundation because the warmer tones were too yellow or orange on me, so when the MUA matched me to Aruba and it was a super good match i was like what in the world is happening with the foundations shades!
@Mel C I would say in the other Nars foundation yes, but I with this foundation it's way more red/peachy. I have neutral olive skin and in Sheer Glow and Natural Radiant, Aruba is my perfect match. With this one I had to mix it with an green pigment. It's a completely different undertone sadly.
Yes, people that usually wear Aruba, be warned. This is more red and not neutral - olive anymore. I was sooo disappointed T___T

Some people did experience some dryness with this Nars one - maybe that's just the super dry skintypes, Nars has always been good for the oily girls!
I have super dry skin and this sat beautifully it does set so maybe thats why x
