Very good ideas! By re purposing one thing you thought of at least 3 new uses and I am sure there is plenty more as well. I agree its always good to re purpose things if all possible. Thanks for sharing Mike!

Thank you Mike. 😅 I kept one for..a year? Kept thinking " vertical strawberries!" But I'm more of a 'hardscaper' than a 'softscaper' in the garden...However..I have made 3 or 4 trellis/viewscreens now, and they are SO satisfying! One is covered with Jasminoides Pandoria ( Bower Vine) ..last year I put one up just to display a metal sun..piece of garden art..and added shelves on both sides to hold containers with succulents..some in abalone shells..Really soothing and smile inducing foe me 😊
I have discovered that the foam parts can be cut to cover and make more comfortable couches or chairs I reupholster..and; I want to try using some of the fabric covering to hold dirt in baskets or metal objects..as planters! Very exciting..very provacative. I too hate waste; I attempt to upcyle everything. So its a treat to come across your video. I don't know how to post pictures or I would do that here. Blessings Be. 🌿🙏🍀

I recycle everything possible. I like the trellis idea. I never would have thought of that. I have a good size Garden but I use some old fencing that I had to make trellises. Good thought and good idea. Thank you for sharing this!

yes you have lots of constant sunshine in your area...we have the warmth and the water so everything is growing 24/7 so in my yard it is covered in shade loving plants like ferns!

That trellis idea is awesome and my hummingbirds would love to see a spread of flowering vines on that. :D I would think some sort of sealing would be required though to keep it nice outside in weather extremes. I loved the kitties most of all in this video though. They looked like cats that used to share my life but aren't around anymore. Thankfully I have reached the fond memories make me smile stage. :) - Heidi

Great recycling. Mattresses and furniture take up a lot of room at the landfill. They charge at the dump for them up here. Thank you for the video, Mike

I always try to take as much stuff that I might be able to use before I throw anything out...always disassembling things for possible useful items

I always like to save what I can from things I get rid of.....lessons learned from parents, relatives, and teachers that grew up during the Great Depression and WWII

thanks...I really wish I had an area for a garden, but so many monster trees all around here and dense shade, but it keeps us cool in the hot Florida sun!

That reminds me that I have a couple cords of pine left over from my Cub Cadet crate. I need to get busy tomorrow cutting them up. I have trained my wife to ask before throwing anything away (that was not her item to begin with). I have saved a lot of money not having to re-buy materials tossed because they were taking up space.

that cub cadet wood burned so nicely last camping trip...I was thinking about using some of this wood for future campfires...seems to be the same type of wood as the cub cadet wood and that campfire was so choice!

well the cats were the first to find a use for the box spring before I came up with some ideas...it made a great scratching post for them!..lol
