I can totally totally understand what the girl would have gone through. I have had quite a few nasty bosses who were more concerned about be their own reputation than the growth/career of team mate.
Great team leader . . I am 57y now & 25y ago my GM admired my ability to carry forward the work but he used to say that a person can become real manager only when he starts greying/looseing-hair & it's really true . . one can reach targets but cannot become manager . . so we see many companies rising high and falling down around us . . only few stand stable
