That my friend is a cheeky little build, that solves an often overlooked need, without hanging them all over the shop, nice one fella ! .... Hope you are over the hill on your recovery ? ... love from Yorkshire England !
I’m always excited when you post a new video! You’re such a great woodworker and inspiration. I’ve watched some of your videos five or six times over. Thank you for everything you do!
I dig this! Great organization build. I was thinking you might need a hole (handle sized) cutout handle on each or just on wing. That way you're not grabbing from the top and the build falling over if you hit a crack in the ground when moving it. Or just adding a "C" handle to the edge of a wing.
one idea is adding hand holes to the clamp uprights, about 3/4s up, so the two hand movement has solid grab location; even if just on a couple in total out of the 4 uprights. Great idea btw.
Wow, an Absolutely Genius Portable, Clamp Storage Cart! I love the simplicity of this project, but your sheer Genius design is what stands out! Well done, Sir!
This was a nice one! Compact and functional like you aimed for. You never miss with your small workshop projects. I look forward to your videos and click them right away lol. Keep up the great work and continue staying healthy in the process!
This is a great idea. The only thing would add is a lip or stop block for loose fitting clamps such as the "C" clamps to prevent possible fall out while moving.
Great video. I just bought a dozen small clamps today but already have a storage option for them. The build came out better than I anticipated, but that isn't surprising. I've been impressed with many of the builds you've done and continue to find the videos inspiring. Thanks again.
When you mentioned the "Lazy Susan" idea, I too, thought redundant. But, with a few seconds of contemplation, I understood the benefit. The wheels are for moving the rack around the shop but the carousel allows you to turn only the center, without the whole thing giggling all over. Also, the carousel is Made to spin smoothly, in a circle, but the four wheel arrangement is not. It"s very clumsy. 😁✌🖖
Crikey! Brilliant! I can see building three...because I'm somewhat of a clamp hoarder, and because I can see the usefulness of having clamps right at hand during large or repetitive glueups. F-clamps and squeeze clamps on one...pipe clamps and extra pipe on another...leftovers (😂) on the third. All in a compact and mobile form factor. Love it! Another thing...as a Yank I enjoy seeing tool brands that we don't see here. Never seen or heard of the cordless tool brand of the drill and saw. AEG is sold in the US under the Ridgid brand name.
nice project, the turn table ability is a really good idea especially when little bits of wood can cause the wheels to bind and so topple over when trying to turn it. if you want more stability you have the perfect place under the device between the wheels. just add some weight there, couple of old bar weights would be perfect to lower the centre of mass.
I'd love to see what you can come up with for that portable compressor in the corner. Maybe mounting it on the ceiling or way up out of the way? It doesn't really need to be taking up floor space, and the only thing that needs to be mobile is the tubing.
Always love the solutions you come up with for issues. I have a small garage in which i do my woodworking, and it's also for our cars. Your ideas for mobile solutions are great and i've adapted some to use so my tools are always out of the way unless i need them.
At first I thought the rotating rotator was a bit much, and it was too tall, but by the time you finished it and filled it, it was obviously a fine clamp solution for small space. I love to see each new video from you; I agree with @Chsbobcat1, thanks for everything and the way you share the reasoning behind each decision.
If you were to place a cut out hand hole exactly where you place your second hand, that might make it easier to manouver ? Maybe ? Just throwing ideas out. I'm a very novice wood worker and absolutely love your ingenuity, and content.
Great idea, I'm also stretched for space so might have to make myself something similar. I do think you need a custom knob on the top, maybe a shape of your logo or the like.
Another excellent idea sir!! Right now my clamps are on the floor due to a shop reorganization and not knowing how to organize them in my tiny shop. This idea of yours is just what I needed. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Those clamps do present challenges as you grow the collection, based on need. I used an old 2 wheeled hand trolley and welded frames to hold small clamps and pipes near the middle for taller heavy clamps. Now I just move it where I need it and it has a very small footprint. I do have a large pvc pipe as storage for my 8’ pipe clamps as they are too tall and heavy, the pipe is hung off the rafters so it’s out of the way. I like seeing how others solve 5his as I may adapt ideas to what I have. I do get a lot from your videos, thanks for sharing.
I have my spring clamps on a aluminium L-profile, so that the spring isn't under tension (seems to be better for the spring and keeps it tension power ;-) ) . Nice project btw :)
A very interesting way to store clamps. I think that you have a lot more space on that cart but then it might risk getting too cluttered. Still, it is a way to bring the clamps closer to your work, however, in a small shop, I have a French cleat system and it's not a problem. And yes, I did think the turntable was redundant but now that you built it, I changed my mind. I'll keep this solution in mind in case I find a use for it. Thanks a bunch! Cheers!
This is a great design, Jean, really innovative. The cost of materials for me is a bit prohibitive and I was looking for something that didn't take up floorspace in my small shop.
Great project, love the built. Starting at 13:16 and for the next 1min, it is obvious where you are putting your second hand on the rack, and I bet you could benefit from a handle at that position. A finger hole or simple groove would prob be sufficient. Anyways, great storing solution!
Fabulous build, but I suspect your are unlikely to use that central pole as a handle. I think you are likely to grab the nearest wing of the carousel and pull it around... How about some grab holes in them?
Hey, how many clamps do you have in your workshop that you DON'T own? Are you a serial tool-borrower?!! :-) Seriously though, I almost clicked off the video because I've seen dozens of them and have not been pleased by any of the designs until this one. By far the most efficient use of space in a clamp rack I've seen. Will be building something similar. Thanks!
Why do everyone that pists DIY videos ALWAYS seem to use such long bolts that stick so far out? And they either never cut them down or recess th bolt and use proper lengthed bolts? I say its being lazy. Great build but put some thought into it.

I love that rolling clamp rack! Nothing more annoying than have your hands full and needing an additional clamp. ❤❤

My garage has rafters and all the clamps live up there above the work bench where they're easily reached and replaced.
Nice concept and well executed H! Great to see you are still coming up with Practical and useful content man! Keep up the good work :)

@@TheRealJackDiamond that is in the works. Just looking at mechanisms to easily lower or lift the unit into place and properly secure it.

I built a storage system for my clamps last year. Ive already outgrown it.
Brilliant. Not even kidding.
Great project and video sir!
I like how you’re just the smallest more casual or more comfortable in this one
Please keep them coming!
Nice build. It looks like something you might find at a store.

Great videos!! Started watching your videos 3years ago (i think) really appreciate the consistency, 👍👍
Awesome Idea!!! Thanks For Sharing!!!!👍😎
i LOVE this idea. I do need more clamps, but right now I can't say I have enough that this project would be useful. Maybe next year!
looks great. How about a hand hold in the sides where you keep grabbing??
Great video again. Your constant innovative ideas are inspiring. I have really enjoyed every video you have released.

Very well done. You still have some space to add even more clamps. Thanks! !! !!!

What a great design and it’s It’s a perfect fit for your shop
That's a great idea. I'm struggling with clamp location now, but this has given me inspiration. Thank you. Subscribed.

My small spring clamps are all on a cable in the roof like pegs on a washing line.
Great project! Nice one
Great work sir!
Always enjoy watching your videos, nice thought pattern and execution for this one。 Thanks。
I cant believe you didn't think of using a clamp to stop the clamp's from falling off when you move it..... nice project, i need more clamp's first...
отличная идея !!!!👍👍👍
I think that is great. Not just for rge small workshop either.
Really creative, great build. Love all your videos.

Seems like clamps would fall off when moving cart around?
Think I would use cheaper plywood (osb) ill rethink this design
@@dwaynelejeune3508 I'm posting an update on this project soon. The f clamp holders needed rethinking.

@guyh.4553 I can’t wait to see your thoroughly thought out and executed video once you put one out.
