Excellent video. Thank you very much. What I don't understand is the tendency by some to "dislike" such nice and harmless videos like this one. I suspect one of them could be from the trumpet player who had to march with the damn sousaphone in his ear.
You may be right but, just FTI, the instrument you are referring to is a helicon.
@@trapezemusic You're right. I stand corrected. In fact a sousaphone would be less damaging to the eardrums of the musician at his side. I didn't look properly. Thank you.
@@arbuckle123 You are most welcome. You don't see many helicons these days. That's why it caught my attention. I also agree with you: I don't understand how a viewer could "dislike" a video like this. Thankfully, there are only five of them. Enjoy.

0:00 in the beginning of this recording you can see a museum in Stockholm. Its called Armémuseet and is an exhabition about Swedish military history, it extends from the 16th century to present time and behind the camera man there is a Stridsvagn 103 from the cold war.

Gaius Marius The (Swedish) Armed Forces Music has three bands, all full-time professional musicians. The Home Guard has 25-30 bands, all volunteers. No conscripts as of 2010. But now the conscript is back, just not in the Music.
drabant And its only the home guard/territorial army bands that travel outside Sweden to represent the home guard and the swedish nation, sometimes in part with eachother. The home guard soldiers have the mission to guard Sweden and its territory, and therefore is not participating in any drills outside Sweden.

Det ligger i Stockholm, muséet heter armémuseet. Väldigt fint, inträde är gratis och handlar om Sveriges militär historia sedan 1500 - till idag. Det finns olika utställningar. Vissa utställningar handlar mest om vapen eller uniformer. Medan det finns en utställning med olika fanors och deras betydelse. Du borde åka dit och titta till det.

Originally those helmets were fitted on cavalry units to glance off bladed attacks. Yes, it's quite useless today.
