I drive a 2015 EDGE Titanium. The new one has a few more bells and whistles, but it is very much like mine. I have 110,000 miles on mine with no serious problems. Never let me down. Two things to point out: I think that huge screen for the radio, etc. is way too big and more than I would ever use. As an old guy, I hate sun roofs, but mine came with that monster. It would keep me from buying the car. I love the engine and transmission. It has lots of power and decent gas mileage. All the cameras and sensors are cute, but I could live without them, except the backup camera. My car came with Sirius Satellite Radio and I would not buy another car without it.
I've had a 2008 XLT, 2016 XLT, 2019 Titanium and now 2022 Titanium Edge. I've loved them all. I don't even look at other cars as this one suits all my needs perfectly! The Titanium package has spoiled me to the point of not going back. This car has the luxury feel with versatility to pack, travel and haul. ❤
A question for the bright sparks out there: If 4.5 liters = I Imperial gallon, (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), but if memory serves, there is 3.67 liters to an American gallon, the question is: How many liters per 100 kilometers does the above Ford Edge consume? Using it's 28 mpg highway figure. Righto, calculators out, go to it...
Have owned a 2012 SEL, 2016 Titanium and am now driving a 2019 Titanium....have loved them all!!! However, was hoping to update in 2023 and am not impressed. Ford has not nor apparently has no plan to give the Edge a major refresh!! After 11 years with an Edge, I am heartbroken to be moving on. Just wish I knew what make/model to purchase.
Couldn't you just keep your 2019 titanium and good a good eight to 10 years out of that? I'm pretty sure they're going to release a Ford Edge EV by then.
@@HoIyGrail - I really doubt there will ever be an Edge EV. It is in the same size class as the Mach E which Ford has poured big $ into. I personally think Ford will discontinue the Edge within 3-5 years which is a shame as I own a ‘15 Titanium and love it.
I was surprised to hear that you are 21 years old. Remarkably articulate! That said, I have driven the Ford Edge. The driving position is rather awkward because the left door armrest is a longer reach than I find comfortable. Makes it feel off-center. Not sure about the newer infotainment screen, build quality and materials, and more than a little unsure about Fords in general. I’m still leaning towards a new Acadia Denali. Thanks for the great review and it’s pronounced “AGG-et” not “a-GATE”.
Has Ford fixed the design defect with the 4 cylinder Ecoboost engines? Specifically the head gasket issue that results in coolant getting into the cylinders.
Good review of a gorgeous vehicle! Thanks. I will say that going back to the 2021 Fords, I can't stand the white background on the infotainment systems. Too bad they put that in this otherwise perfect vehicle. Also, does this have wireless Apple Car Play/Android Auto? And if so, are there any glitches?
We drove for 3 days 400 miles city and highway with kids. I like a lot of room space, good seats. Not bad on highway. But I don't like few things. Huge screen informative screen, many features are touch screen only. Terrible Android auto, my Samsung was not too responsive. I prefer to have physical buttons to use on radio, ac. Also braking not too soft. Engine is OK, it has some limitations on highway. And it is very thirsty compared to Japanese cars. I don't know anything about reliability. Round dial knob is also not my favorite. By the way- sound system is good 👍.
Like your energy and certainly seems like you’ve performed a vehicle delivery at a dealership before…. Would have been nice to hear you voice the differences about the regular driving mode vs the sport mode. You mentioned it during the interior feature discussion but never alluded to it while driving, which was disappointing. Only other comment would be to mention what the viewing of the A frame is like as well as right and left shoulder checks while driving. Obviously it has tech but what is the view when you do a shoulder check. Thanks for the video. I subscribed.
Thank you! I’ve thought about working at a dealership before, but they work LONG hours... I appreciate the constructive criticism, and will definitely keep that in mind for further videos! I appreciate the sub!
Been looking at the edge to replace my 2022 Hyundai Tuscon that I just got in June 2021 (don't ask, it's a disaster). Maybe I missed it in the video, but I'm wondering how much control you have over the AWD, assume there are different modes, but how do you get to them? Thanks for the review.
To be honest, I’m not 100% sure. I know you can get into sport mode by pressing the little S on the gear selector. I’m curious though, what is so bad about your Tucson?
@@bradleyscarreviews It's my 3rd hyundai in a row. I had interior noise issues with the first two cars, but was generally pleased outside that. This one has been an absolute disaster. Ticking sounds in moon roof and driver's side window. Extra wind in driver's window. Loose paneling in cargo area, loose spoiler, rattling sound in dashboard, rubber on leather ticking from driver's seat, gaps between plastic parts on dash. I can actually see electronics behind the instrument cluster when the light comes in just right. The dealership finally told me I need to call Hyundai directly; they can't do anything more for me. My Hyundai days are over. Thanks for asking, sorry for the long reply.
My 2010 Edge Limited has AWD and I love it. Each wheel is independent and knows when to kick in when it is needed. When all other cars we sliding down a sleet and snow covered hill, I just slowly from a stop going up the hill in between all the cars that were stuck and could not go. I will never buy another car without AWD.
Hmm. Both are great. I personally have recently grown very fond of the new Outbacks. But if you were me, I'd go out and sit/drive each and see which one I like more. I do like the 2.4 Turbo in the Outback, but the Ecoboost is also a really strong engine
@@FordEnthusiast413 That also looks super sporty. Def more sporty looking than the outback. ST also has some nice suspension tuning. If you want a more fun to drive and better handing suv, the st might be the way to go
We took one for a test drive the other day and I have to say one of the con's to me was the horrible desktop/theme for the touch screen. It looked so cheap and thrown together and poorly laid out. It was so white and plain it felt like being in a service truck with a clipboard holder on the dash with a white lined work order on it. I have driven Fords for years but have to say they blew it on that issue.
@@703Speed I just bought a 2022 Buick envision but after doing some deep thinking in think about a Ford Edge titanium? Do you know if any differences other than name?
@@robbiem4624 hmm. What trim Envision did you get? If you look back at my channel, I did a video with a 22’ Envision and I really liked it. I like how the envision has the 360 camera.. I know the edge has more horsepower at 250 vs the 228 on the Envision. The envision gets 1 mpg better both on the highway and city. So if I were you, I would bring your envision to a Ford lot and ask to see an Edge titanium and compare them side by side to see which one you like better, and which you could see yourself more in.. @Dan Myers well maybe not an edge, but the Crossovers are too popular to never see an electric version of an SUV regardless of what they call it.
