my mother is a hematologist/oncologist I can't count the number of days she's come home lamenting that her patient was dying because they had a terminal form of cancer. some cancers are more survivable than others. like thyroid cancer is considerably more survivable than pancreas cancer. precancerous skin cells on the face are pretty easy to get rid of with a salve from a dermatologist. don't get me wrong survivable cancers can still be terrible for a patient to go through. and another thing doctor's in my mother's field often have to deal with are malingerers like boogie.

I'm someone who survived a brutal childhood and is disabled, much like Boogie. People with invisible disabilities like me are often wrongfully accused of faking their illnesses. Part of me worries that people will use what Boogie did to accuse other people of faking.
