I live in Canada and bought a scale so I could follow the British recipes. You can flip from grams to pounds and ounces easily. Not all the conversions are precise.
@@marymurphy1393 If you can find something called light treacle it’s the same or light molasses. You could also try substituting with Agave syrup or make some golden syrup. It’s not that hard. There’s a few videos on RUclips but I’ll see if I can do one next week 😊☘️

What missed most living here being from Glasgow Scotland was the taste and simplicity of all the wee home baker shops in the streets growing up there. I remember with love the wonderful love they had for their trade being a baker and made us poor kids feel like we could love eat and know what wonderful baking is all about.
