Three Kingdoms Redux - it is a 3 player only game that takes place in the Three Kingdoms period of ancient China, focused on military conquests, economic development and influence building/court maneuvering. Mechanically, the game combines worker placement game mixed with bidding. You need to manage economic development, field armies, and manage generals. It is deeply strategic and thematic. Simply a great game - recommend you check it out.
Excellent list. My favorite games set in Asia are Ikusa/Shogun/Samurai Swords; A Distant Plain (COIN game about the US actions in Afghanistan); and Second World War: Pacific Theater of Operations (my copy was published by SPI).
Trains is great and I also haven't gotten to play it in what seems like forever, though was just recently thinking I need to find time to get it off the shelf.
I had some extra TTR trains that I swapped out the cubes with and for the stations I found some extra white houses, makes it look a little better themey. I'm surprised no Shogun/Ikusa.
Interesting collections of games. Europe should give you hundreds of games to think about.
Ha!

Sounds interesting.
Nice list, I want to play Tsuro. My list >> Empire of the Sun, King of Tokyo, Pax Pamir, John Company, Joraku, Samurai.
Sounds like a great list. Thanks!
Great list. Games I would place on the list would be Ikusa (previously known as Shogun and then Samurai Swords), Zhanguo and Tokaido.
Thanks!
I'm looking forward to Ancient Civilizations of East Asia - the 3rd title in the GMT series which is in the design stages now.
The other two were great. I didn't know they were doing another one, but now I'm optimistic.

I played Shogun when I was a kid. I haven’t played the others. Thanks!
Great List!!
Thanks!

Great game indeed.
Good video! Nice and interesting idea for a top list.
Thank you. Much appreciated.

I'm surprised no Shogun/Ikusa.
I played it once when I was a kid, but I barely remember it.
We just played colonial diplomacy in WA in January, could have used a 7th!
Great game!
John Company
Heard good things about it, but haven’t played it.
Not sure if it was coincidental that this was AAPI month, but thanks for this Cody.
Had no idea. Thanks.
Shogun
Fun game. Played it when I was a kid.
Then I add another Shogun game, Shogun no katana. Should try this one too.
