Brings back so many memories. The show was film on site in an area of Balby Doncaster. I grew up around the corner and had my hair cut in the salon used as Arkwrights Store, Like Gggranville, I knew those streets like the back of my hand.. Ronnie is a comedy legend absolute genius, sadly missed. . David Jason is very much a comedy genius too.. clips of Open all Hours, never fail to ignite memories
This must be golden to you watching Granville ride his shop bike through those alleyways. I grew up in Gloucester in the 70s with similar streets, alleyways and those terraced victorian red bricked houses what my grandparents lived in. Where the freshly cut grass always reeked of 2 stroke oil and dog shit. Haha Great memories.
Another Classic Comedy, the paper headline 'Crickets Saddest Moment'; England are doing Well Today!!!! God Bless Ronnie Barker and Kathy Staff, Stay Safe Everyone in 2020, XX
@evernetherall That beautiful young milk delivery lady is none other than Barbara Flynn who later co-starred in the Beiderbecke Affair, and more latterly in Cranford.
@@kingflappy4827 I'd not have dropped a bottle for her...but when Barbara Flynn said "Call me" most of us young fellows would've dropped the second one as well!

When did this first air?
Late 70s to mid 80s. There was a couple of years between each of the series.
Definitely 1981 . Andy England 🇬🇧👍
I agree Jamie. They should have got together.
Loved open all hours but not so keen on the new series because it just doesn't work without Ronnie Barker ,
I think it does ok for what it is
G G G G Gr Gr Granville
Poor lad.
Same dynamic as Steptoe and Son. Son's life goes nowhere ...
yeah if you can find a better rut go settle in it.
Granville was Arkwright's nephew not his son.
Grandvill got the shop in the end in still open all hour's 👍
@@emmaflint6126 true but similar sort of dynamic.
❤
Nora Batty. !
@Lesley Leith As I recall it was her perpetually wrinkled stockings Compo used to go for...
And in waiting for God. And in some rising damp👍
I like to think Last of The Summer Wine and Open All Hours are in the same universe🙂
@@SamuelBlack84 and the good Life. Richard briers.. the manor was born is not to shabby either .
Mrs Batty NOT Botty
In this she was Mrs Blewit. Mrs Barry was last of the summer wine
😀👍👍👍😀
Ah when we had brilliant non PC comedy series
