We had left basic scientific reserch since 1990's.Now it is in last stage.Governmnet have been under funding these institute from1980's.I dont thing we could catch the scientific egde in near future.Under current govt. creamation is going on.

Why TIFR does not opens new department which can collaborate with industry and not just focus on basic research? Such a old institution should find a way to fund itself without depending much on government. Take industrial and applied research project and get funding.

What is happening, tax payers money is used in poll campaigns but priemier institute like TIFR is struggling.
