When I saw cys, I immediately wondered if you’re Military. I love the setup. I’m looking into cys fcc care for our toddler. So nervous 😬

I think if your lucky enough to get a licensed FCC provider you don’t need to worry at all. The fcc program is wonderful and highly regulated. In some situations the center is the best options but you know your child best and can your the facility and decide for yourself. Good luck with everything!

Hello ! Do you have to be military affiliates to be a provider ?

You mentioned a 12 hour day. Is that a requirement? Or can you set your own schedule? Furthermore, do you have to accept any child that is offered? Say you're not interested in in caring for non mobile infants. Are you allowed to do that? Also, do you need to use your whole home? or can use specifically use a certain room? Lastly, how do you get kids? Are they just offered to you or do you have to find them on your own?

I think the 12 hour day is what you have to put on your contract but in the end, it’s your business and you can have the hours you want. That may be something that is specific to the installation and it probably to check with the FCC director in your area to make sure. You have complete say on who you enroll in your care and what type of limitations your willing to set with that. They do ask in the beginning to see what your willing to do. Sometimes there is financial compensation for accepting children with extra needs. And you can just say you don’t accept any children under the age of 18 months. That’s completely reasonable and a lot of providers don’t accept infants because they simply don’t have the set up and don’t want to have a pack and play set up in their house. You don’t need to do your whole home. But you will need access to your kitchen and have at least one room dedicated to the fcc, plus and area for naps. That can be in the same room as your fcc or some people do naps in their living room. And as far as getting kids, once your licensed, parent central will give your number out to prospective parents and then you can set up a time for them to come see your place if you think their child would be a good fit. And because it’s so high need you usually get filled up before you even open especially if you promote yourself on your local face book page for your military community. But I’m still getting several calls a week asking to be on a wait list or asking if I have openings. I hope this helps and it makes sense. Lmk if you have any other questions ❤️👍
