Regine paves the way to new generation of singers. She is humble and generous. Maraming susunod sa yapak niya dahil siya mismo ang gumagawa ng daan para sa kanila. At sa nagsasabing siya ay vocalist at hindi artist. Hindi ba ang kanyang musicality, showmanship and voice is already a work of art? Because of her singing naapreciate ng mga Filipino and other nationalities ang OPM ganun din ang mga composers and lyricists na gumawa nito. And Regine always recognizes them whenever she performs. I agree with what she said. She is very humble and for that I salute her. With regards to the reward, there are more deserving names like Pilita and Jose Mari Chan (she said) that deserves the reward due to the contributions to the music industry as legends. Let me add Dulce and Celeste Legaspi to the list. Kelan sila aawardan, kung patay na sila? Tama si Reg. Bata pa naman siya. Unahin muna ang mga legends habang kaya pa nila iaccept yung award personally.

How nice of Regine to express her sentiments for the choice of Pilita Corrales and Jose Mari Chan as National Artist. She is a great singer who took care in preparing for her performances so everything is in order and loved by her audience. Not her (Regine) because there are others more deserving. Both artists she mentioned, were very popular already when I was in first year high school. Pilita's popularity brought her to various countries and admired her voice, elevated the Filipinos'standing in the music industry worldwide. Jose Mari Chan is still alive and so popular in his senior years especially his Christmas song. While foreign singers are icons in Christmas songs, the Philippines also may have a top spot each year 😮as our ofw's listen to Mr. Chan's Christmas song. But awards need not be for the elderly only and if deserving why not give recognition to younger artists. Pwede nmn bigyan lahat on current year.
