- Der französische Designer Claude Montana entwarf zunächst ausschließlich Kleidung für Frauen. Im Jahr 1981 erweiterte er seine Kollektionen dann um Mode für Herren, die er unter dem Label Montana Hommes heraus brachte. Seine größten Erfolge konnte der Designer in den 80er Jahren feiern. Mit seiner avantgardistischen und gewagten Mode fiel er nicht nur in Paris auf.

I just found a CM jacket in my storage today and still in mint. I sit ion after 40 years with the original white label with the hood stitching. I showed it to these 2 vintage clothing store and they were like wow and both wanted to buy it from me. One store was selling a copy of CM’s book from 8 years ago.

Divine in fashion+ Fashion means from 1980 just 5 names: Montana, Ferre', Mugler, Galliano en the fifth is McQueen. Montana is the least known en most dear to me ( with Gianfranco, of course)

Versace too and before he went roxk glam in the early 80’s. Versace, Montana and Armani also back then design for other labels and many didn’t know that. I’ve loved Montana since 1981 when me and my friend about 7 of us, owned a leather Claude Montana jacket when we were like 18 years old in SF.
His only worthy peer was Gianfranco Ferre. They made Sheer Elegance in/for better times

Btw. Claude Montana is still alive but no longer designing clothes and lives in Paris. Many since he’s completely dropped out of fashion, think he’s not alive.
