People who don’t see past history, neither predict coming days of world, only Greedy, Jealous wishes Gorkhas not to join in British Army. Maybe check yourself mate and read some books about these guys, there are no better servants to our country than the Gurkhas. Please don't disparage a historic troop that has given everything for our nation. If you did any research you will note the Gurkhas that settle in the UK are not benefit scroungers like some and are a net positive to our country, I wish we had more like them.
It's very simple these soldiers are the best the British force has secondly for over 200 years they have served the British army this was because during the 1700s British fought the gurkhas and were incredibly impressed by their ability to fight but it is known that gurkhas joined the British military only due to conditions set by the British that they were able to recruit soldier as part of the peace deal
It breaks my heart to see regiments disbanded or amalgamated, particularly my favorite regiment, the Gordon Highlanders, but let's be honest, the Gurkhas are among the finest fighting men in the word. The UK is lucky to have their loyalty.
Recruiting problems with other regiments vs Gurkha Battalions always being oversubscribed with young Nepalese men The old British regiments still lack numbers even with commonwealth recruits coming in
