Are we watching the same comedians? When I was a little I am watching old comedy movies and it has humor that same with Vice Ganda. It involves classics like dry humor, slapsticks, dark comedy and sarcasms. What is it now why they hate this kind of humor when old classic comedies are full of this? Reasons why Meme Vice Ganda was hated: 1) Insult jokes. Being from a comedy bar, he really loves insulting and roasting their parokyanos. 2) Pride. Napakataas. Sa halip na mag public apology, hinayaang masuspinde ang show. 3) R word of Jessica Soho. His fat shaming and misogynist remarks against Jessica Soho made me hate him, IMO. Wala siya sa kalingkingan ni Madam Jessica pagdating sa ambag sa industry. 4) Masyadong pa rich kid. 5) Kanal at kanto magsalita.
Forget the jokes, first HE belittled Axel and evidently its because his supposed actions doesnt match his looks, apparently he cant “beso”(even though Axel didnt go for that) but when a handsome person or HE does its okay. That just discrimnation, this guy will point out your mistakes no matter how small, unless your handsome.
They coerced the Christine girl to retract her first explanation. They pressured her, and made a choreographed and fabricated side of the story. It’s the truth versus the image and reputation of Vice who makes millions for stations and brands. They thought they did a damage control, a typical PR move, but failed. Christine would not have made that very first video explanation in the first place if it wasn’t the truth. If you analyze her first explanation, she was obviously just stating facts, genuine and calm and no stuttering whatsoever. And it ties with the Axel guy’s video too. Her crying video was just the aftermath of 1. the orchestrated story that Vice and the executives said on national tv, and 2. the character assassination by the publics toward Christine. She is a normal girl, she is not used to this kind of negative attention, so the panicking and crying were normal reactions. Poor thing, poor poor thing. I really feel so sorry for her. One of the many things on my list why I believe ABS CBN is an evil corporation. I mean common, it is not just Vice, whatever you see on tv is planned and talked about. I major in PR and was in PR industry, this is a very common, dirty tactic that needs to stop. GOOD THING PEOPLE NOWADAYS ARE SMARTER AND MORE VIGILANT.

I really get christine here. I was once felt forced to lie to a teacher who's been nice an patient with us and damn did it ate me alive. It was just a simple lie, that our project is moving forward when it was not. My team complimented how good the lie was and that i sound so convincing. It just ended up piling how shit i felt, few minutes later i broke down and told my team that i wanted to tell the teacher the truth cause my head was killing me. I honestly think that this issue was just blown out of proportion because of people projecting their own insecurities onto the situation. Vice Ganda calling out Axel was never about his looks, but on his ACTIONS. She didn't even say something about "panget ka kaya wala kang karapatang humalik", which prompts me to think that people who reacted negatively towards that commotion just interpreted things differently. Aren't you the ones calling Axel ugly then? I still don't understand how she got flak for defending a woman, and even got accused of employing "double standards" when that was never in the equation to begin with. Axel got called out because of Christine's REACTION, not because Axel was ugly nor because they didn't like him. It's not rocket science. Now, notice how the clips you used are those from 2019 and before, and not so much from recent episodes of It's Showtime. Granted that Vice Ganda was problematic during the early years of the show, and even I was appalled with her behavior back then. But we never really take someone's character development seriously because we're stuck with our own biases about what a person has done before. Videos of Vice Ganda inappropriately touching men keep on resurfacing and are being used against her, but we have to understand that no one is justifying her behavior and even she is aware that actions like that are "nakasanayan" nalang, but doesn't necessarily make them right. Additionally, the Safe Spaces Act was not in full implementation back then. Regardless, people have already called her out for her behavior, and she even addressed a lot of them, so why bring these issues into the limelight again? Vice Ganda has also apologized to Jessica Soho countless times, aware that she might not be forgiven because she was trying to be a better person. You can see her real development in the recent runnings of It's Showtime, being the only person in the entertainment industry to have balls to talk about social issues and current events. Of course, yall will not see that because you're stuck in your respective echo chambers that paint Vice Ganda as a villain. You're even antagonizing her for defending her own community from Tado's snarky remark. 1) Insult jokes. Being from a comedy bar, he really loves insulting and roasting their parokyanos.

They coerced the Christine girl to retract her first explanation. They pressured her, and made a choreographed and fabricated side of the story. It’s the truth versus the image and reputation of Vice who makes millions for stations and brands. They thought they did a damage control, a typical PR move, but failed. Christine would not have made that very first video explanation in the first place if it wasn’t the truth. If you analyze her first explanation, she was obviously just stating facts, genuine and calm and no stuttering whatsoever. And it ties with the Axel guy’s video too.
Her crying video was just the aftermath of 1. the orchestrated story that Vice and the executives said on national tv, and 2. the character assassination by the publics toward Christine. She is a normal girl, she is not used to this kind of negative attention, so the panicking and crying were normal reactions. Poor thing, poor poor thing. I really feel so sorry for her. One of the many things on my list why I believe ABS CBN is an evil corporation. I mean common, it is not just Vice, whatever you see on tv is planned and talked about. I really get christine here. I was once felt forced to lie to a teacher who's been nice an patient with us and damn did it ate me alive. It was just a simple lie, that our project is moving forward when it was not.

I'm not homophobic (I'm gay) but Vice's jokes are below the belt and it's starting to irritate me.
I saw that episode with Tado on TV when it first aired. That’s when I knew that Vice is a hypocritical, sanctimonious a-hole.
It's not that everybody hates Vice, nagtataka lang 'yung iba kung gaano ba siya ka-relevant sa society kung ang sabi nga nila eh mapanlait na siya eh self-righteous pa. Oo, magaling siyang comedian pero may mga linya na hindi niya dapat tinatawid lalo sa magkakaibang platform -- lalo na sa pakikitungo sa mga taong hindi niya kilala.
And, let's not forget about the joke he made about the respectable Miss Jessica Soho. He practically made the joke a bigger part of his concert --tapos tawang-tawa si Charo Santos, diba? Wala man lang nag-senyas na 'end the joke ASAP."

Mas okay comedy nina Jose, Wally at Paolo, may okray jokes din sila pero very subtle lang at hindi offensive. si Allan K kahit corny jokes niya about unggoy atleast self-bashing ginagawa niya. Very natural bumitaw ng punchlines ang Jowapao unlike sa showtime na halatang may sinusundan na skit/script.

I honestly think that this issue was just blown out of proportion because of people projecting their own insecurities onto the situation. Vice Ganda calling out Axel was never about his looks, but on his ACTIONS. She didn't even say something about "panget ka kaya wala kang karapatang humalik", which prompts me to think that people who reacted negatively towards that commotion just interpreted things differently. Aren't you the ones calling Axel ugly then? I still don't understand how she got flak for defending a woman, and even got accused of employing "double standards" when that was never in the equation to begin with. Axel got called out because of Christine's REACTION, not because Axel was ugly nor because they didn't like him. It's not rocket science.
Now, notice how the clips you used are those from 2019 and before, and not so much from recent episodes of It's Showtime. Granted that Vice Ganda was problematic during the early years of the show, and even I was appalled with her behavior back then. But we never really take someone's character development seriously because we're stuck with our own biases about what a person has done before. Videos of Vice Ganda inappropriately touching men keep on resurfacing and are being used against her, but we have to understand that no one is justifying her behavior and even she is aware that actions like that are "nakasanayan" nalang, but doesn't necessarily make them right. Additionally, the Safe Spaces Act was not in full implementation back then. Regardless, people have already called her out for her behavior, and she even addressed a lot of them, so why bring these issues into the limelight again?
Vice Ganda has also apologized to Jessica Soho countless times, aware that she might not be forgiven because she was trying to be a better person. You can see her real development in the recent runnings of It's Showtime, being the only person in the entertainment industry to have balls to talk about social issues and current events. Of course, yall will not see that because you're stuck in your respective echo chambers that paint Vice Ganda as a villain. You're even antagonizing her for defending her own community from Tado's snarky remark.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting more thorough research and discussions on laws governing this situation, but all you had were videos that are surfacing on Facebook and TikTok, which to me is a bit lazy for a content creator. I will not excuse Vice Ganda for her past behavior, but I believe that what she did was right and NECESSARY. As non-confrontational as we Filipinos are, we're just not ready for PROGRESSIVE hosting.
Not that it matters because after all, some days Vice Ganda is liked, some days she is hated. Either way, she is ALWAYS getting paid.
