Can’t believe there is an actual new edit out there of them! I love this show- so emotional! I actually met the actor that plays Alfred by happenstance in London at the Hamlet play- he was lovely!
One of my favourite subtle parts about this show is how it allows the male characters to cry and be vulnerable. Sensitive guys like Alfred and Harry, manly men like Rene, Neil and Sinclair. Hell, even Faber (the literal Nazi) is allowed to show emotion at different points, and supporting male characters cry as well, not just main characters. All these guys break down at some point in the show, but they're never judged, and are comforted by other characters, including women, without shame. It's such a beautiful subversion of the whole "Men don't cry" trope that we should really let go of. I love X Company so much!
