    Hey Randi,
Everything you said in this video was pretty much spot on. I have done this for years and appreciate you for showing everyone how easy it is to do it. Ok, now at a science teacher I do have one piece of advice for you and anyone else watching. Don't just put your face down by the stream of water to catch the smell... Chlorine is an acid and you never should put your face and unprotected eyes near the acid. I know it isn't much different than swimming in an over chlorinated pool, right? But like I said, this is the science teacher coming out in me. If you are going to smell for bleach you should use your hand to circulate the air towards you. We say always waft the air so that you don't get a strong sniff of it. And you need to be careful when mixing your solution by wearing eye protection too. The chlorine that you use in the house is strong enough to burn your eyes and the strong fumes of it could damage your nasal membrane as well. So be sure to handle it with caution.
Ok, I will quit being so science teacher-esque and return to fun RV guy...
    Thanks for the great video,
    Pat

I like having a checklist for this. THANK YOU. I'm ready to prep my camper for time on the road and this will help. Have a great weekend, Randi.

Love all your tips and tricks... However speaking from experience... I dialyzed patients for 26 years... We did a similar process to cleaning our machines with bleach... There are bleach strips you can purchase to make sure there's no residual bleach which is very important... Because if there is some bleach left in the lines and that gets into your bloodstream it can be fatal.... We also had to bleach large jugs.... Do we have to make sure that when we rinse them that we were pouring them over those bleach strips and coming back with zero bleach residual on those strips those strips... Which took three full fillings of the jugs to do... You can purchase those bleach strips in a pharmacy... I would tend to offer the advice.. for vinegar cleaning if you're not going to do this strips... Because vinegar is not going to kill you... Just food for thought.. safety 1st

Thanks, Randi! Did you bypass your water heater before sanitizing? I'm about to take this on and want to make sure I do it correctly.

I never drink the water from the RV, it is only for showers and the toilet. Everything else is bottled water

Love ur videos. Couple questions so we dont have to close the hot water bypass? And u only have to empty the cold water connection how a out the tank itself?

If everyone uses a filter on the 'community' end of the white hose, water entering the hose and into the tank is already filtered, I still use another filter like Brita for drinking water....all good
