Also Adobe shutting down activation servers for old versions of adobe and forcing them to be unusable. Only creative suite 6 still can be activated but its my understanding thats gone sometime in 2025, so this forces any adobe user to use subscription version instead.

OR....just move on to other vendors. Or better, open source/freeware.

@@lanceevans1689 do you have some suggestions for other options? I learned on Adobe but I'm really wanting to find something else to use

Also it is important to note that they updated the terms and conditions and would not let you access your files without agreeing to the terms. Literally forcing/strong arming you into agreeing. Not a part of the lawsuit but many feel this was a strong arm tactic that exemplifies why Adobe should not be trusted even after "clarifying" the revisions of the EULA.

Nice explanation. Thanks. But, I did not see or hear where you addressed Adobe's response or change to the charge of difficult Cancelation procedures and processes.

that's what i wanted to see, but it didn't happen, we got a lecture on a.i. instead, which while largely correct was a tangent from a video titled "ftc lawsuit"

ok, so you submitted to Adobe. Well I just use alternatives I do not trust them no more, since the subscription progams started.

The sad thing is, even before CS6, we had alternatives which Adobe bought up (Macromedia), milked them for all their worth, trashed it and threw their ecosystem under the bus. The ones who survived and wanted to be "in" a bus got shoved into the Adobe one. That's what happens when no competition is present. Fortunately, there are now.
Myself, I had divorced myself from ALL Adobe products when they started the subscription model. It was a difficult pill to swallow but their shenanigans only add to my conviction bank.

this last time I had to stay paying an adobe subscription for an extra 6 months because I didn't wanna pay the exorbitant cancellation fee. I say this last time because I've been in the same boat on more than one occasion.
but with AI and privacy concerns I don't trust adobe anymore so I've cancelled it and not looking back.
also from now on I'm blocking all my creative apps from connecting online, unless I actually need it to do something specific. But I'd rather do it manually and be more secure.

This video is strange because you are looking and facing "off camera" most of the time. You look natural from 10:10 to 10:26 when you are looking where you should be looking (at your viewers).

and their market cap is over 200 billion dollars.. going out of their way to be this predatory for consumers makes this company bottom tier trash on a new level.
