Xiao's english dub voice sounds raspy but with higher pitch. Even though you cannot fully replicate Xiao's voice, yours does have the sense of grumpiness of him, and that's good. Keep praticing on your voice range! 😉
Thanks!! I was actually trying to reach more the range of Xiao's JP dub cuz it's a little bit deeper, but I couldn't really so I just did my best while in character 😅
@@hyacxntheVA Of the JP dub version I see. I rarely hear that dub voice of him so I can't really remember. All I know is that his JP VA also does the voice of Inosuke for Demon Slayer and Kirito for Sword Art Online.
@@meremsolomon4744 it's kind of a middle ground between a low pitch and a high pitch, with a little bit of a nasal tone added in there. It's really nice to listen to, but when I attempted it I couldn't really hold it, so it turned out like that, haha

Just because the original voice over is voiced by either a woman or a guy, does not mean that anyone who tried to immitate it is free to sound very different with the original voice, since it would defeat the point of 'imitating' which in this case is to sound as similar as the original voice as possible. Then again, the VA of this video is trying to immitate the voice of Xiao's JP Dub instead, which I ddin't knew beforehand.
