As an African American I agree with this comment completely. I don't like it! I am unbothered by these emails. He is a football coach. Not a politician or a priest. Imagine what we would see if we had access to every head coach/owners emails. The reason this stuff doesn't bother me and I don't think he should have been asked to resign is because he thought he knew who the emails were directed to. Now all of a sudden, everyone has access to what he thought was private. Catch me on the right day, I am probably saying some inappropriate things too if I think it is just me and a confidant. This is BS. We are way too serious these days.
For the NFL to act as if they are above Jon Gruden when he is literally the epitome of what American professional football is, was and always has and will be is beyond me... But at the end of the day he left a paper trail, and its todays culture. I've called plenty of people the F word to, just didn't do it via email.

I’ve been through the motions with Stephen A, I used to love him back in the day pre first take before the firing. Then really got tired of hearing from him on first take and refused to watch anymore. But this Stephen A is refreshing and makes me love listening to this dude again. Lets be real...if there was a way where ALL OUR PAST History was brought to light. How many of us will be canceled? I know as a young immature kid I might've said or did things that would be consider out of line in this day & age. As someone who matured and learned. I tried to be better. make no mistake the NFL desperately wants to settle this...this is a terrible look for them and they'll gladly pay Gruden his money. Problem is it sounds like Gruden isn't gonna settle.
People said Dominion wouldn't settle against Fox. And it happened the day the trial was about to start. The overwhelming majority of lawsuits end in a settlement because there is no way to predict what a jury is going to do. Even when a plaintiffhas a very strong case, the jury could rule for the defense and vice versa. And even if Gruden wins at trial there is a chance that whatever he gets will be substantially lowered on appeal or reversed. However, given the evidence that has come to light the NFL will likely have to increase any settlement offer for Gruden to take it, Ditto for Brian Flores.
Gruden is going to settle. Money is money at the end of the day

The NFL is not going to give Gruden a billion dollars, and Gruden isn't a corporation that has to focus on future earnings, he already has made multiple millions of dollars, he can literally ride it out and as long as the NFL loses he is ok, cause remember Gruden when he resigned was paid millions and Mark Davis is still pissed off at the NFL so he might even bankroll this

If this gets out of NFL arbitration, they will offer him such an insane amount of money with an NDA attached that he'll have to take it. Way more than he would get in a courtroom settlement. My bet is that unless someone with a conscience comes forward and releases them, they'll never see the light of day.
Demaurice smith doesn’t work with the best interest of the players. He’s a good ole boy for nfl. Each time he was president for the NFLPA the players have lost less & less percentage of ownership in the league.

I can honestly appreciate his view on this. It’s a perfect example that people can see both sides of the same coin. The inappropriate language Gruden used to speak on players, faculty, and, of course his boss’s boss. While also understanding the situation for Gruden as a person and now almost destroying a career he spent his whole life building.

Not everyone is like you SAS. It is not all about the $$$ for Gruden, it is about reputation. He is after the files in the case discovery, because once those emails are made public, Gruden is not going to get his reputation back, but he can take down with him quite a few other people I would imagine.
