I bought Ochre 5 years ago in Japan. I remember it was the darkest shade and I’m not that much deeper than the Japanese population being half Chinese. I love your in depth reviews and had to pick this one up. Looks so lovely!

Hallelujah!! The OG concealer is a holy grail for me, but I’m thrilled it’s a little lighter bc the OG didn’t have my shade exactly.

Have you changed or updated your pre-makeup routine? I have dry skin as well and am struggling to get a makeup routine that works even for a few hours before it starts to breakup. Your skin is looking gorgeous and I was just looking for any pre makeup ideas. Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you for the review. I tried this concealer a few years ago and didn’t care for it because it felt so dry on my under eyes. Since the reformulation sounds like it might be a bit more emollient, I think I will give it a try again. Thanks again!
It is not more emollient. It is cakey, dry and it left a rash under my eye. The store would not take it back a day later. I get it (store policies) , but it gave me a rash. I emailed the company and they would not take it back.
I am definitely interested in the new version if it is slightly more emollient. I have used this concealer since the early aughts, but it becomes difficult to use in the upper elevations (translation: ski resorts) of the rocky mountain west during the winter months when the mostly forced air heat leaves interiors very dry, as well as the extremely low humidity outdoors.
I bought this concealer a few yrs ago because I had heard so much about it being the Holy Grail of concealers, pricey but had to try…. I wanted to like it so much but found it to be too dry under my eyes, I am excited to try the New formula 👏🏼

I read a comment on RUclips from a woman in her late sixties that has been using Clé de Peau concealer stick as her sheered out foundation for years and swears by it. This is all very encouraging. My under eyes are a bone of contention.
I tried the newer Lancôme Teint Idole foundation/concealer stick w/brush last year but it's not the greatest finish. And the shade pulled very gray.

I believe the concealor which come with brush may not be good for dry skin especially on undereye

What a relief! CdP has been my go-to concealer for almost a decade. When they changed the packaging (in Asia, not sure about everywhere else) a few years back, I panicked and stocked up all the old packaging I could find. Hearing that the formula has been redone caused me equal alarm.
Fantastic result! have been using this concealer for 2 decades and can’t wait to use the new formulated one.

This sounds great! I love the old one to spot conceal but felt it was too drying for under the eye
Such a good review sweetie!! The new one looks great! I didn’t like the older one. For some reason it never worked for me. This looks promising. Product does tend to darken and get a little more dry, especially with SPF after time. SPF will make any product lighter, sunscreen changes everything in products, especially complexion.

I just watched your cle de peau concealer reformulated video and I loved it. You're very good at what you do. Now Cle de peau has come out with a brush to apply the concealer and foundation (two types of brushes for the foundation) Iwould really appreciate if you could shows us how to use them.
So relieved. I use this exclusively to patch cover as I have given up foundation. I had to move to the under eye brightener as it was too dry under the eyes but will see if I might be able to just use one product with the formulation.

This concealer looks LOVELY on you! I'm so glad it worked out on you. I also have a problem with most concealers caking underneath my eyes and making them look dry, so this looks promising. The old concealer by Clé de Peau didn't work for me but this might just do the trick!
It is a cake formula but its very nice. Moisturize first and blend it well with a light amount. U don't need much its very pigmented

Thanks for the review. Because I’ve had the old formula only about three months…it will be a while before I try it out the new. Haven’t used the Cle dePeau concealer under my eyes because it seemed quite thick (I like the Sisley concealer), but have used it around my nose and on some dark spots; it works beautifully.
I put my eye cream on a little thicker and apply the concealer on top of that and it performs wonderfully.
I am a long time fan of the Cle de Peu concealer. Please compare this new formulation to your other fav, Dior Forever concealer that you recently turned me onto.

I dont like spf at all. ( i wear it as needed of course sometimes) but this was my favorite ...and I'm still buying the no spf ones on ebay. Yes they just added spf a few years ago .

I love this concealer, although I do wish I had chosen a slightly darker shade. I blend a tiny bit of light stick bronzer over top to take the brightness down a notch or 2. This is the only concealer I’ve ever used that doesn’t accentuate my crepey tear ducts, gone streaky around my nasal labial folds, or flaky between my brows. All of these have been issues without fail since I started wearing makeup in the late 80s. My skin is pretty dry more than ever since I started menopause, and this stick works great over primer and sunscreen too. Well worth the spend.
Just a quick question about your liking the B30 foundation better then the B20? What was different with the undertones that you saw. I usually take the same colors in foundation as you and have been wanting to pick the radient up. Also my concealer is about 2 years old and definitely has dried out so I am going to replace it with the new one after hearing your thought. Have a wonderful weekend.

I haven't had any luck with stick concealors. I feel they are too thick and drying. Been using Cle de Peau (per your rec) as foundation and Lisa Eldridge foundation. I like both but not in love. I have melasma so one shade does not fit all. It looks really good on you. Winter has messed with my skin and it is very dry... trying to find something that works.

I 🖤 Cle de Peau. I’m considering picking up their loose powder. Do you prefer their powder or Sisley’s? I recall you mentioning the Cle powder is a bit more cool toned.
In my opinion most super high end loose powders are nice. For budget coty airspun (it comes in different colors and coverages) and Charlotte Tilbery (I think my spell check butchered that) her loose powder is okay. If you're talking about pressed powder , i haven't any idea. Lancome is okay but they are owned by loreal right? So then maybe loreal is the same thing.

On my wishlist! I hope you also review the new, reformulated Cle de Peau cream foundation coming soon. I haven't bought a powder blush in years. I'm not near a counter so I rely on reviews. Do you prefer Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate blush or Chanel blush maybe Peche Rosee? or even CDP
I prefer the TF and the CDP of the Chanel Peche Rosee. The powders are so much finer in the TF and CDP.

Would you say it is better than the Sisley which is my holy grail? Perfection and the expensive tube last forever. It’s covering and non creasing. You need so little so it will last a long time and pay for itself.. Never have to powder it either.

It’s always hard to beat an already winning formulation
definitly see the color difference. I think its because spf reflects light. but what is it 2 points more spf? Thats not enough to really change the shade ! They should leave it alone. Okay so the really old one without spf i prefer. Even though expired makeup is gross. And yes I think it drys out a little over time but still usable. U know this concealer has 2 times the amount of most stick concealers such as the new bare minerals one. So technically it's not really much more expensive. Ounce per ounce.

I’m on a 36 year quest to find a concealer that will not settle into my fine lines, disappear after 30 minutes or oxidize, not dry my already dry under eyes and, most importantly, cover my severely dark hereditary under eye circles. This looked great on your skin, but what type of coverage is it? It looked pretty light on you.
I would say the coverage is a medium. And there is the option of building up if need be.

How is this the lightest shade? Ugh.
Well, I tried this. Even with prepping prior to application, it is a huge disappointment. (To go along with the huge price tag) It immediately sinks into enlarged pores and lines. Very dry looking under the eyes, accentuating any texture. Doesn't cover hyperpigmentation or broken capillaries well (even if they're light colored) and definitely isn't full coverage. (I would call it a light medium) As far as the finish, it's like the Chanel Le Correcteur concealer- A velvety matte. I didn't find anything radiant at all. Definitely was a waste of my hard earned money.

It takes you half hour to put on a natural face? It takes me 5 minutes (concealer, foundation, blush, bronzer, highlight, shadow, liner, mascara, lip liner and gloss). If I’m going to an event maybe 10 for extra time on the eyes with lashes. What are you doing for so long? Can you film start to finish?

Living for this clickbait 🤪👀 common Clé de Peau, DO NOT LET US DOWN 🤣 reformulations make it so hard to keep colors the same mind you, but glad it seems to be working just as good as the legendary older formula, The Japanese formula do not disappoint 🤟🏻 Major wins 🏆!!! 😀
