It’s crazy how wine taste the same but when you takes these techniques you can really taste and smell how wine is.
I really love how gentlemans use the word "lady", sounds extremely respectful
Thank you for appreciating it.
His accent is fantastic
@@bostonphotographer20 Why thank you...
@@bostonphotographer20 you are too kind
Simple and to the point. Thank you Dr.Lee for this insightful small but educational lesson.
picking up wine glass by stem is not just because of elegance, but functional. picking up by the bowl increases the temperature of the wine, and makes you taste stronger alcohol than it should. that's what the stem was designed for, so you don't transfer the heat of your palm to the wine in glass. in that case, you can also hold your glass by its base if you prefer
Precise, useful and elegant! I used to swirl mid air and the wine split lol! This gentleman is very accurate in giving useful advice.
Warmly and succinctly delivered. Great content. Thank you
Thank you so much George.
I'm happy to find this guy's youtube I use to watch him alot on Facebook after months I found it even tho I'm young to drink wine but it looks classy it looks fancy and u have to be smart to a good wine I love it it's a mafia boss drink
This was so helpful! Looking forward to watching more videos.
So, I've been working as a barkeep in an irish pub for nearly 3 years now, and this lovely older gentleman from Arklow has recently given me a bottle of Vermentino Toscana white wine as a gift.
We've been talking on and off about how I used to be a chef at an italian family restaurant before but never really got around to trying a traditional bolognese recipe with milk and white wine, rather than a tomato based sauce that you'd usually cook with a dash of red wine.
Now, since getting that wine and cooking with it, I've wanted to give wine in general a little more love and appreciation.
Suffice to say, this channel and your presentations on etiquette have helped immeasurably in that process.
Thank you for that- and I truly mean this.
I feel like I can finally pay gifts like that their proper respect after such genuine thought has been put into it.
This means a lot to us. Thank you for sharing your story and insights. Love having you. Cheers!
Very cool video. Thoroughly enjoyed well done

If you like it, it's a good wine.... That says it all
Great video! What do you say (if anything) if there happen to be debris/cork in the wine?
Simply tell you server that there is debris/cork in the wine and they will gladly pour you a new one.
nice!
tried this out on a six grape grahams port, had a good chuckle when he said does it feel good and i agreed. Damn, that felt good, guess this is a good wine
Dr. Lee PHD of wine testing
Wonderful
Thank you!
I've been drinking the same wine but when I did this, it suddenly tasted better.
Awesome video new subscriber
Man you are amazing!
Thank you for your kind words.
Enjoying wine is an art
You da man 😊
When you tilt the wine and you do see dirt or debris, do we ask for a new glass, would it be acceptable
I would love to have a wine and a conversation with Dr Lee 😅
im feel soo fancy
Does this also apply to white wines?
I don't drink wine, but I did fine this informative.
How about if the wine is not good do you have still to. Swallow?
Had 2 glasses of wine watching this 😂
Do you take in air before you sip or do you sip and open your mouth for air whilst the wine is in your mouth then swallow ?
Sip (about) a teaspoon of wine, swish it in (alternating) left and right cheeks (do not make yourself sound like a dishwasher). Take in air, swish again, swallow. You should take in air once or twice.
"No one can tell you, what is a good wine.
They can tell you what they think is a good wine, but you may not like it"
❤️🍷🥂
Just drink your damn wine. This is too much lol
i think u need more education
Hi Dr Lee, so what if i order a bottle of wine and the waiter open the bottle and serve me a little to taste and after i tasted the wine i found out it is not a good wine, who pays for the bottle?
I think its more about tasting if it has gone bad/corked. If it is simply the wine's quality you're talking about, then you are still responsible for paying the wine. But if you mean the wine has gone bad due to its previous storing condition or cork quality, then you should politely ask the sommelier to return it. But in usual case, the sommelier will also taste it him/herself to make sure of the quality
Damn my wine smell like nail polish remover 😮😮😂😂
Just came here from TikTok lol
Thanks very much for practically showing us how to respect wines. However, I've got a riddle here, hoping somebody can solve this for me........
Since std drink formula is {litre X alcohol percentage (number only) X 0.789} for wine, why is a 750ml with 14% = 8.3 Std drink but a 750ml with 13.5% ends up with only 8.0 Std drink? It looks like we are conversely getting more alcohol from the weaker wine (only 13.5% but 8 Std drink). I'm still thinking the stronger wine should have fewer Std drinks but definitely not the weaker one. Anybody?
when I sip the wine I get amasing flavours in my mouth but after I swallow it it tastes weird.
Who’s here after seeing that black guy with his girl on a date and he did some Houdini shit just to taste the wine, then stood up and gave the waiter a firm handshake with perfect eye contact
Do you have the link to it?
👌🏿👍🏿👌🏿👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏿
Every wine i smell is like vinegar like so whats wrong
“If you like it, then that’s a good wine for you. No one can tell you if it’s a good one.” But if it smells like rubbing alcohol ask for a new one 😂
you can tell how much he hates it when people pick it up from anywhere other than the stem of the glass... >=)
Would you like some wine to drink
Im sorry Dr. Clinton Lee
Doing the “swirl” isn’t hard at all calm pipe down Dr.Leeeeee hahahaha
Grape juice tastes better than whine, is cheaper and healthier.
Why would I ever even want to get into whine then
Wine isn't for everyone, it's an expression of the wine maker, a form of art that denotes technique, ingredients, heritage, ect. Let's say you enjoy the tv show Game of Thrones, which is an expression from the actors, director ect, and someone comes along and says why would I watch that when I can listen to my neighbor's drama every night?
I also like wine that's sweet and full bodied, if you ever wanted to try it, see what these old coots are talking about, I would recommend port or tawny wine which is fortified to stop the fermentation process where it keeps the sweetness of the grapes to a degree but would result in a higher abv due to the fortification process, but due to the excellence of the winemaker, you get a very sweet wine with intricate details and a lovely experience without the heat of the alcohol. You could also go for a white wine or a rose, ask the retailer for suggestions. words like strawberry or jam, maybe you're into more acidic wines, I'm talking crispy apple or fresh orange.
Like I said, it's not for everyone and don't get into it if you don't want to. Lifes too short to do what everyone does but drink alcohol in moderation. 2 servings can be beneficial against a fatty diet but above 4 will increase risk of heart disease exponentially. This applies for all alcohols consumed within a day. Do be responsible for your own sake.
I have no idea why I’m here. I’m muslim 🤣
English
그냥 마시게.. 큰 차이 없어
Just drink it, That's not a big diffrent taste.
he didn't even taste the wine tho
Cause he’s shooting a video and due to how video production works in these settings, he shot multiple in one session and had to reshoot some scenes more likely than not. If he had to reshoot a scene where he tasted the wine then he could get drunk. Simple as that.
He gave you the tools to begin a taste testing journey, so use his tools and see where it leads you!
He forgot to tell ppl about sediments, and Crystal's when looking at the wine this isn't 100% legit
Now I know how to be professional in the restaurant
great content
Love that emoji. ✋
Don't be like Steve Brule
Martini Asti is 10 quid a bottle and tastes far superior than these overpriced artisan shite. Same with the like of Brie De Meaux cheese (So called king of cheese), it smells and tastes like a cubical toilet haha. It just goes to show that rich folk have abysmal taste.
