Thanks Colleen. I have put shoulder pads in previously and stitched them (by hand) to the shoulder seam. Thanks for showing me the correct way - I will use this way in the future. I always enjoy watching your videos and have learned heaps from you. :)
Hi. I was wondering if I can attach shoulder to pads to a jean jacket. The one I have is too big around the shoulders and don't want to buy another one.

I have a feeling the answer is no, but is there a way you could add shoulder pads to a leather jacket? I'm trying to recreate the Thriller jacket but I'm having trouble finding leather jackets with shoulder pads already in them.
Hello McKenna K. Yes you can, the depth of the shoulder pad will be the deciding factor on making sure that the shoulder line and neckline doesn't look to distorted. Go ahead and play about with different shoulder pads to achieve the look you are looking for. Good luck!
Thank you - a wonderfully simple tutorial but showing exactly as it should be done and how it should look - perfect!
You're very welcome! Thanks for taking the time to comment.

can you go ahead and wash the jacket with the shoulder pad in place? then hand dry.
Yes that is possible, but be careful if it is a shoulder pad made up of natural fibres I would remove it!
