Thanks for info. Just spent hour and a half getting ours working again. No turkey baster, but used a small kids drink bottle, cut a hole in on the side and was blowing in the inlet whilst pump was active. Eventually cleared the air lock. The seal from the bottle to the inlet was reasonably good. I had thoughts of using car pum compressor. Prior seeing your video I had disassembled top and bottom to get idea of the innards of the unit.

how did you cut off the plastic bottom. My brand new machine just arrived and no water is pumping from the espresso part but a tiny bit of steam is coming out. Tried to purge as you were told by customer service but nothing helped. Is your black turkey baster plastic pumper thingie is that large? Thanks
We did thanks… We tried everything until I came up with the turkey baster idea. We copied quite a few techniques from RUclips by people having similar problems with different makes of machine. The result was me having to think about It’s a bit laterally. Have a great weekend :-)
@@BlindWoodTurner What came to mind for me was.... I had to do this on my old car in 2001 Citroen ZX 1.9D (Coolant replacement problem) the radiator cap was so low down below the engine, your needed about 300mm plastic cut off bottle jammed into the radiator to fill and remove the air lock. On that car the electrics and and the clutch cable were rubbish. your baster trick was very a good solution. I cut the cone part off pop bottles to use as funnels. The cylindrical section of the pop bottle and an electric paint stripper gun works well to connect many of my woodworking tools to my vacuum hose. All the best

Very useful tip! I used to be barista trained when I worked as a restaurant manager, a good coffee machine is an absolute joy to use.

Did you try filling the tank to the very top (overflow) when it was on the machine, just a thought not a criticism.
