I found my first one in the deserts of Central Washington last year! I went out collecting Opal and came across one made from agate. I spend a lot of my summers searching the Pacific Northwest for gems, petrified wood and other minerals! I love watching your videos. My channel is mostly metalsmithing but i plan on filming some of my gemstone trips this summer. Keep it up!
Very sweet that you gave your translucent arrow head to your friend Bobolodon! When will you visit him in Canada to look for fossils? I have visited the Burgess Shale site near Field BC.
I just recently found a projectile point made of quartz. One of the divits is broken off and most of the tip is gone, but it is 8,000 to 10,000 years old. Surface find on the James River
yavin99 states with past Native Americans territories are full with them if you look close enough. Have you ever made one out of stone rocks? They end up looking great.
@@SillyParasaurolophus I have some real and fake arrowheads my fake ones are all different colored quartz but a friend of mine has a lot of real native quartz arrowheads but the first one I found might be really old it was about 12 inches deep in the ground but that one is rock.
That arrowhead is sweet! A guy I know found a 6-inch Spearhead in a Florida creek that's made from a multi red colored translucent stone. It's awesome!
Great teeth finds, so many gorgeous colors! And the arrowhead was AWESOME! I've never seen one that translucent! When I can, I'll order one of your bags of gravel, haven't been fossil hunting in a long time, and I know my grandkids would have a blast going through one. And PLEASE feed Kyle! He's gonna have a case of scratchy guts, eating all those fossils!
Nice work guys!! I’m going to definitely purchase a bag from you for my daughter - SHE WILL FLIP! Congrats on that arrowhead as well, it’s absolutely stunning. 🤤
I hope it involves lots of megs, hemis, bull, lemon shark teeth + other fossils too :0) love all the vids and as always looking forward to the next one cris :0)
Bobolodon, you are a good sport, sir, and I hope you had a wonderful trip "next door"! Would love to see you again. That arrowhead is so cool--I've not seen that style before, I wonder how they attached it to the arrow itself without a neck, or even a knapped indent? Anyway, great haul!
We sift our creeks for arrowheads and accidentally find shark teeth. You sift your creeks for shark teeth and accidentally find arrowheads. Cool finds!
HausenPepper , recently moved from San Antonio to Moore which is about 38 -40 miles south and though I’m now out in the sticks and surrounded artifacts ranging from Paleo to 150 BP unfortunately I have zero phone signal and have not watched nary a single vid of yours since 01/18/2020 !!!! :( I’m in the city on a supply run & got the chance to get this vid in , so your getting 2 Thumbs Up and a long over due like !!!! ( Nice Point !!)
Haha! Time to list a bunch more stuff. Had a bunch of orders earlier in the week that almost cleaned it out. I'll add a bunch of cool extra stuff in the package for you! Thanks.
It depends on the type of fossils and location. Here in Florida, my favorite method is scuba diving for them, which I'm planning to make a ton of videos of later this year.
That work looked very exhausting!!! (a good reason I prefer watching you do it and not me!!!! I wouldn't be able to move the next day) I liked seeing the scenery of where you were as well.
the silent farmer I found a projectile point a month ago and its broken but made of quartz which means a very skilled maker made. Can you guess the age? ⬇️ 8,000 to 10,000
I've noticed you give the caveat when finding an arrow head that you are 'on private land with permission' is there a covenant of ownership on native / historical artefacts in the US?
I found a triangular point on private property in the woods near the western shore of Lake Seminole. It was a cream colored point about an inch and a half by two inches. Unfortunately, my evil sister-in-law threw all my belongings away one day.
It’s a classic point type, so what common in the area. A lot of chert is translucent in the area as well. I’ve found a dozen or so of these over the years.
Yes I do! Wouldn't want to leave my international friends out. Shipping can be a little expensive with a package of that weight (4 pounds), but the website should calculate all that and I'd be glad to ship it there.
Completely understand, I really wish shipping international packages wasn't so expensive. 😖 The only way it's affordable is if it weighs very little, which isn't possible for something like this.
my dad has bin shark tooth hunting since he was 5 and now he is 30 and he has never found a megalodon shark tooth can you guys tell me where jack tenney aka joogsquad goes shark tooth hunting.
You are half correct. It is indeed a rock, but was modified into a type of arrowhead called a Pinellas. These points are just triangles with no notches or anything like that, bifacial pressure flaking (which this has) and are always very small in size. Something like this cannot form naturally.

I would have been ecstatic about that Arrowhead that was your best fine for that day and the transparency in it was just awesome
I was cast netting in a retention pond in my neighborhood in Orlando Florida and cast netted an arrow head!

There's something so satisfying when you clean the mud off the gravel! What a cool channel I'm hooked!
We find really nice quartz arrowheads where I live in the mountains.

Beautiful arrow point.

You guys have great eyes to pick things out of that gravel.
Another great video cris 👍 went on my first fossil hunt of the year here in England and had some decent finds.
Great teeth finds, so many gorgeous colors! And the arrowhead was AWESOME! I've never seen one that translucent! Thanks for sharing them with the world 👍

PaleoCris what do you think is the best method to find fossils?
It depends on the type of fossils and location. Here in Florida, my favorite method is scuba diving for them, which I'm planning to make a ton of videos of later this year.
That looks just like a spot in Buckhorn.
Always wanted to find some fossils like that, but there aren't many to be had in southern Missouri. Or at least outside the sandstone that is.
Great hunting....I use the same methods arrowhead hunting...I shot you a sub...Best of luck
Dude, your Ammonite and Nautilus finds are breath taking! You guys should swap channels for a while :)
That gravel looks tasty 😄
Do you guys ever see anything good while looking back over/editing your videos that you missed on the hunt? I'd be bummed lol
I have just started WATCHING your channel and I was wondering what you do with all teeth you find?
How in the world did you spot that thing? Great video 👍🏻
That gompothere tooth could from ambelodon britti
You need to make a grill out of shark teeth if you’re a real fossil gangsta
I'm watching this in April 2024. Please grow your hair long again cris!
Great video. I loved the arrowhead. I’ve bought a few but have never found any. I love your videos. Oh I sent you a message.
Wow
Nice coral pinellas point....what part of Fl?
Was just checking out y'all's shop. Do y'all sell the Megalodon teeth that you find? Couldn't find any shark teeth on the website.
Thanks for the interest! I'm listing a bunch of new stuff later tonight. Things have been selling out pretty quickly lately.
Where are you located? Do you have any digs open to the public?
That work looked very exhausting!!! (a good reason I prefer watching you do it and not me!!!! I wouldn't be able to move the next day) I liked seeing the scenery of where you were as well.
That point is most likely agatized Coral
Im in the north west tip of florida. I cant find arrowheads or fossils here.

I'd love to help! Super interesting. I used to comb Venice beach years ago.
how old is that arrow head. was it used by the old native americans or is it older like ice age old
the silent farmer I found a projectile point a month ago and its broken but made of quartz which means a very skilled maker made. Can you guess the age? ⬇️
8,000 to 10,000
@@k-vy5nt oh wow that is awsome. so the one he found is quite old i take it
What county are y’all hunting in
Not chert that be quartz ! Keep up the good work.
I found your channel out threw Danny Duncan
Oh? Suggested video?
What is the name of this creek
My cock is very Skinny it’s private property
I've noticed you give the caveat when finding an arrow head that you are 'on private land with permission' is there a covenant of ownership on native / historical artefacts in the US?
You can't collect them from state land in Florida. These creeks aren't navigable waterways, so they're not state land.
Yea that's the way I find them too places that are not navigatable waterways and I hunt where I have permission on private property.
I found a triangular point on private property in the woods near the western shore of Lake Seminole. It was a cream colored point about an inch and a half by two inches. Unfortunately, my evil sister-in-law threw all my belongings away one day.
How do you know someone wasn't just shaping glass or see-through objects and threw them in the creek
It’s a classic point type, so what common in the area. A lot of chert is translucent in the area as well. I’ve found a dozen or so of these over the years.
Beautiful!!!❤👏🙌😍
Why are y'all calling hemi shark teeth snaggle tooth?
Could you a giveaway of some shark teeth?
Ware can I find shark teeth in hp state New York I live in Albany New York my name is Ernie dillon
I am living in Germany. I would like to buy a bag of gravel. Do you send that to Germany?
Yes I do! Wouldn't want to leave my international friends out. Shipping can be a little expensive with a package of that weight (4 pounds), but the website should calculate all that and I'd be glad to ship it there.
Ok nice \(^ ^)/
I am not sure now because it is 80$ for me. A little bit to expensive :(
Completely understand, I really wish shipping international packages wasn't so expensive. 😖 The only way it's affordable is if it weighs very little, which isn't possible for something like this.
@Fred Fischer Hey, let's talk on instagram because RUclips sucks
my dad has bin shark tooth hunting since he was 5 and now he is 30 and he has never found a megalodon shark tooth can you guys tell me where jack tenney aka joogsquad goes shark tooth hunting.
Chris I've written a few times. Would you entertain taking me and my wife on a hunt?
This is not arrow head. Just piece of rock nothing else.
You are half correct. It is indeed a rock, but was modified into a type of arrowhead called a Pinellas. These points are just triangles with no notches or anything like that, bifacial pressure flaking (which this has) and are always very small in size. Something like this cannot form naturally.
