I wish this was around 15 years ago, it was amazing for me, swapping was extremely hard from methadone, but I'm so glad I did, a year since my last shot, and its incredible to be free from the chemist, the cost and everythingelse an opiate addiction entails, opiate free!
I have question for you I been on sublocade for 2 years now .i want out . Am scare of getting into windraw the doctor that introduce my to sublocade is now for one 1year gone 4 medical reason .were i leave am now stuck we only nurses that know very little beside how to inject me every months. I have no resources are acces to a professional dr am in canada sublocade is new for them. They told me option 1 is just stop the injection and maybe it will be all good are maybe sometimes in 2 or 3 months I will fall into windraw and dont have no ideal at what level or maybe they can put me on suboxone on low dose to zero. What was your experience. I have no support I have anxiety to not know what expect .
@@Sarah_Vanesa-Sophie Hi Sarah, if your in Toronto there are sublocade doctors available. On May 3rd I got my first 300mg shot. One more at 300mg than three more at 100mg still to be administered. The first shot has made me nauses from the get go, some days so bad I can't move or get out of bed. But at least I haven't had any withdrawals (the awful cravings) as yet. I'm fearful like you that after I stop, I'll still have to suffer through the withdrawals. I definitely cannot go through that again. Most of my investigations lead positively to little or no servere withdrawals. I pray that will be our case. Please stay strong and positive. How are feeling these days?
So happy for you. Hearing about sublocade motivated me to quit the street dope (fentanyl and Xylamine "horse tranquilizer") and get back on subs. With sublocade I see a way off Suboxone. How many shots did you get before you made the leap? And you're still doing good?
@@TenaRobertodo it I was on methadone for long time I did one week of morphine to flush the methadone out then 1 day of fast acting morphine to flush the long acting kadian out then the next day they give you Suboxone then the next day the shot.. no need to go into full withdrawal
Start with the first 2 months each being a 300mg shot then 2 100 mg shots, it has worked amazing for me and I have been on 20 mg of Suboxone a day for seven years and I did not know how I was going to come off of it and this has been a complete lifesaver for me to finally be free!!!! I have been a heavy addict for 15 years and this process WORKS!!!
Love the heart and mind of this Doctor. I’m the mother of a drug affected daughter whose attempting Suboxone treatment. Your videos are extremely helpful.
How is she doing? Just know that Subs are extremely hard to get off of. The withdrawal is worse and longer than any opioid or hard drug. The shot can help.
I’ve been in treatment for the past 5 months and haven’t heard a single person say this. I’ve watched 6 guys get it in the last 4 months and none of them reported feeling shitty on the first month. It was actually the contrary. They all said they felt amazing. I get my shot on Thursday I can’t wait.
Charlie, how do you feel after your first shot? I’m thinking of doing the same. Been trying to get off Suboxone for years. Hearing great things about Sublicade.
@@dalzy1969 I’ve been feeling good but not 100%. My doctor put me on a low dose of suboxone to hold me until the second shot. I think it’s because I was on a high dose of methadone for so long and pretty much went to the shot straight from that. I was only on suboxone for 10 days so I think my body is still detoxing all the methadone in my system. Now that I’m in it, I think that what this man is saying is true, it will be better for me once I get the second shot. But if you’ve been stable on suboxone for a while then I’m sure you’ll be fine after the first, that’s what I’ve been seeing happen where I work.
Hi did you get the shot? Did it work well the first month? I’m going to be my kaisers pioneer she told me I would not going to withdraw, but she said they’ve never given anyone the shot I’m worried cause I want 20 mg of subutex
@@charliemancuso6980 thanks for the follow up, ive watched a couple videos and no one comes back to tell their story only to say the are about to get their first.. i am really looking forward to trying this, and quite frankly i have an abundance of subs in the waiting just in case .. but hope to just get rid of em one day, im so done with this dependency! and congrats man!
I know this video is 2 years old but just want to say I received my first injection today of 300mg. I was worried to not have any tablets on hand if in a week or two I start to feel cravings or withdrawal so I asked my doctor about it and she wouldn’t prescribe me anymore to have on hand. So hopefully I will be okay. I am to call in if I do. The injection itself was very painful. Intense burning during and after for a good 5 minutes. Really intense burning. But it’s a small price to pay for past mistakes and to get off of buprenorphine once and for all!
Suboxone daily for over 7 years, then just 1 shot of Sublocade in Aug 21, been clean ever since with ZERO withdrawals. BTW my Dr gave it to me in the shoulder
This answers so much for me ill be subscribing through my experience! I'm at the end of week 3 and the past week I've been getting shivers or chills randomly..so I thought maybe it is what it is... but this tells me why... also I'm over 70 days clean from fent and still popping hot on drug tests.. crazy! Fent is def a whole different animal and should be dealt with accordingly
Can you tell me how it's been going since your last post? Hoping everything went well. And I know exactly what you're saying regarding fentanyl. I've been on subs a couple weeks and still pissing it. Shit lingers a long time I hear.. Also found out my "Heroin" was Fentanyl and Xylamine (horse tranquilizer). Hearing about sublocade motivated me to get back on subs. Before that I wasn't at all trying to trade one habit for another. But considering what my dope was, I'm happy I did. Now I want to work towards getting off subs. Lmk how you been. Thanks.
I’ve been off for almost a year now still sober. I did need subs one but very very little after a month or two from the levels dropping in my system but it was basically not even noticeable.. youll do great it saved me.
Have been on 12mg of Suboxone for 6 yrs. Got my first shot of Sublocade 300mgs and I actually felt high for the first 2 days. After that I felt good but the s**t hit the fan once I got to week 2. My doctor only prescribed 8 x 2mg Suboxone tabs to last me the next 3 weeks and I don't know how that's going to tide me over until my next shot? The withdrawal is lasting most of each day and a 2mg tablet only gives me relief for an hour or two if I'm lucky. I really want this to work but don't know if I can stick it out. Also, my 2nd shot is going to be 100mgs instead of 300, so I'm really worried about how I'm going to feel. To me, withdrawal is torture, so it scares the hell out of me!!
Agree. Doctors seem to be all over the place on their interpretations of the results, but most patient testimonies (that don't have unusual circumstances) seem to be really positive, even for the first shot.
Can I ask you if they offered anything lower than that? I've only ever heard good things about the injection and have been curious myself, I'm a bit afraid I've tapered down too far for it, like I think I'd be sick for a while, I've kind of dangerously tapered down to .25 mg every 10 to 14 days. I'm talking with the docs this week but outside opinions are cool if your still there.
@@michaelmoline7058 if you're at .25mg of Suboxone from what I understand you should keep pushing with that because that's such a low low dose you're doing excellent. I was told you have to at least be at 4mg Suboxone to start the 100mg injection
I actually experienced quite the opposite. After my first 300mg shot I was over medicated for the first 48 hrs. It was too much for me. I was on 5.7mg of Zubsolv a day before that. After that 48hrs it leveled off and felt great ever since. Im now on shot 3 (100mg) and will be getting 2 more 100mg and then calling it quits. Going to let it taper out of my system

That only lasted a few days though. Other than some yawning for those few days, I'm still going strong. Would highly recommend sublocade to anyone.
@@Slapsamillion oh for sure! I tried getting off suboxone several times and it was hell. The shot makes getting off this crap manageable! I recommend it to everyone trying to get off opiods
I’m trying to get on sublocade. I’ve had many failed attempts on getting off regular buprenorphine, so I’m hoping I’ll have better results trying sublocade! Thank you for your videos, they are super informative and it is giving me hope that I’ll be able to become medication free one day.
I had my first shot a month ago now and it was fine the whole time now. I still feel fine now, I don't know if I even need another one but I will get it just to be safe.
Man thanks for this I just got mine a couple weeks ago and I was good when she first gave to me than after I start feeling like I was withdraw or maybe I was getting a cold idk i was confused about it so this video and comments help!!!
So I'm on maintenance 12mg/day sublingual film once in the am. I go in Monday for my next MAT appointment. I want the sublocade shot so bad my brother in law got two shots and has not had a shot in 7 months and has experienced 0 withdrawals! Few other people tell the the same thing! They get one 300 one 100 and they don't need anymore ever (physically speaking they don't withdrawal ever perhaps they might still have cravings but cravings will most likely be a lifetime thing for us addicts)
Not true, many do get withdrawals a few months down the line. Especially those who had a long and severe opiate dependence. No easy lunch, felt fine on my sublocade aside from side effects but 3 months after my last I don't want to do anything. So tried and lethargic most days.
@Angus Yates weird. Must be a mental thing because 99% of the people in the sublocade reddit said they never experienced withdrawal symptoms and they've been off it for 1 or more years
Checking in. I'm 12 days in post sublocade and I noticed a couple of days ago me and my partner got into an argument. My partners in active addiction. Claims she's stopping. I've dated her for 6 months and never knew she used stimulants. Anyway. That's messing with my head bad. Bcause its changing her. To my point. I noticed after our argument I laid in bed for like 2 days. Only ate a bowl of cereal. I keep having leg spasms. Charlie horses. I can't tell if I'm withdrawaling and depressed or both. Is my body just craving pills as a way to escape the emotional pain I'm in. Am I really in withdrawal? I'd hate to take these pills for no reason. I cannot loose my job because of this. I was taking 8mg X3 a day. Wondering if I should try a little 2mg dose?
Wish my insurance would pay for this! I’ve had the sublocade injections a few yrs ago and it worked wonderful. I was off all opiates for 4 yrs until I got sick. Now I’m back on subs for my pain management
Just got my first shot today, I’m a little nervous now. I hope my Dr and insurance will cover supplemental strips if I need it. I will try to keep everyone updated.
How did it go? A close friend of mine just got his first shot and said it didn't help. He's still taking Suboxone with it, which sounds worse to me, like doubling up.
I had the first two 300mg shots without any issues. My Doctor asked if I wanted to stay at 300mg or go down to the 100mg maintenance dose. I went with the 100mg, big mistake! I was sick after 2 1/2/3 weeks. Luckily my Doctor always makes sure I have supplemental strips (my insurance covers it) along with the shot and whatever comfort meds I feel I might need like Clonidine. I switched back to the 300mg shot and have not had any problems since! I really do like the Sublocade much better than the awful tasting films or pills.
Hey Bill. So I'm currently thinking about the shot. Been on Suboxone for 7 years and want to get off. Do they seem you more delicately? Or is just the 300mg, 200mg, or 100mg? Going from 300 to 100 seems like a lot for your body to accept

@@ladygrim412 it's because it only comes in 100mg or 300mg syringes. The only way to taper between 100-300, is for your doctor to order a 300mg shot and squirt some out before giving it to you. Some are OK doing that, while others don't want to because they don't exactly how much they're dosing.
I’m on my 2nd month and I’m finding mine only last 3 weeks. I feel terrible 5 days before my shot. The nurse thinks I’m talking crap. After that some nights are bearable, the only thing I can say is i felt good enough in my brain to brave it out. But now have fallen into depression again. The sleepless soaking cold sweats every night. The days are not as bad because im active. But I'm wearing down. Probably calling doctor tomorrow. Just to much sorrow in life to deal with besides the physical agony. Don't know if have it in me to go 10 more nights and still function in society.
Thank you, I'm so concerned about this shot, fairly new and not much info about it. How about if the person cannot get to the doctor for the next shot for some reason? Are the withdrawals awful, worse than when on the strips??? Very concerned - please keep the info coming. Thank you.
Your suppose to set up your appt when you receive the first one. At least that’s how they set me up. Also said get the 2nd shot around 25days not 30days
I have a friend that got the Brixadi shot in the same exact results were for him too. He got prescribed 14 strips and I think 6 days before his next shot he told the doctors that he has four strips left and they said you should have only been taking as in just started taking the strips this week, and he said no I didn't feel right the first week was great and then after the next week it just started to feel completely unbalanced. It was rough for him but the doctors don't seem to believe him so he's a little upset about it but still trying to keep the hope

Thanks Dr Starr! Two questions: (1) Assuming a 100mg sublocade shot was given, what dose of suboxone would you recommend someone take to get their bupe plasma levels up to the 2ng/mL during the first month of sublocade shot? (2) Would the bupe plasma level still dip below 2ng/mL even with a higher dose (150mg or 300mg) sublocade shot in the first month?

I very much doubt you will have withdrawals this month. In fact, you may feel overmedicated. 300mg is a big jump up from 4mg/day. I would recommend you do 100mg twice, then try walking away. There are other ways to do this, but I think this would be the smoothest.

It's suspicious how they can come up with effective treatments for a host of ailments, sometimes in a very short time, but when it comes to addiction, nothing seems to be on par with the numerous decades of research. If the govt didn't want drugs to enter, they wouldn't get in. We have the money, technology, and manpower to make entrance of drugs into this land nearly impossible. So, why are drugs so easily accessible? I think that drug money is so tied with economics that the govt cannot allow drugs to leave, as the monetary impact will follow the drugs.
I slipped up and returned to suboxone after a few months. I just received 1 300ml sublocade shot about 2 weeks ago. Have you heard of females period stopping after starting subloclade?. I read a comment on your RUclips channel saying she had this thing happened to her. Why is this?
Where could I find said literature to show my doctor? I'm on my second wee of first shot. And I'm def feeling some withdrawal symptoms. Im so sorry this is happening. I just started the shot a week ago almost and really wish I had researched and seen these comments before I made the decision
...Doctor... I'm confused... In other videos you talk about people taking 1 single Sublocade shot and are opiate-free and withdrawal-free a month later....? Yet here it says the first month is going to be uncomfortable and to "keep product around" until you get more shots? ...I don't get it.... Or... is what I misunderstood being the difference between people going from full-on illicit heroin use (or fill-in-the-blank of a user's opiate of choice) straight to Sublocade injection, VERSUS getting on Suboxone first, tapering down Subs as much as possible, THEN doing the Sublocade shot...? (...and... what if That ALSO inevitably fails..?!?! ...then... unfortunately would this person may be one of the unlucky ones that just may need MAT/Suboxone for life, hypothetically speaking?)
When I first started Suboxone it helped me not to feel depressed. After a year the depression is back in full force. Does Sublocade help anyone with depression?
I swear… he should not have admitted he really thinks those kind of things.. like I get it sometimes it is the patient but I wouldn’t have admitted it personally🤣
Yeah exactly! It's like my old dealer would say it's the same gear that everyone else had but then again they had 2 pockets. I'm used to being treated as if I just want more drugs my doctors. No ... I'm trying to get off drugs stupid idiot why would I be taking this otherwise. Why can't they be reasonable and send me home with 8mg strips especially in the first 2-4 weeks to top up if needed for any reason so that I don't end up topping up with heroin instead.
Yea my Dr. Is kind of a dick. I'm 5 days into my first sublocade shot and I told him when I got it I have two strips left. He said take them "as needed" and acted super against me having any more... now I'm looking up how to make this thing melt faster so it actually works
Sublocade is self-tapering due to a very very long duration of action and long half-life. After a few doses patients can usually just walk away and do great.
Thank you Ken Starr, this is exactly why I just switched to Sublocade shot. Plan on doing 300/300/100/100/100 then ride out the long, slow, comfortable, weening process and walk away.
Why doesn't no one talk about how utterly painful it is to get and how come no doctor I can find explains what happens to the Injection area after the fluid is gone. Is there a hole still, does it close or no? It's absolutely not worth it in my opinion. I got mine 4 days ago and I'm still in pain and restricted in movement. Can't run or jog or jump or any type of hard impact motion. I'm more constipated then before. Also my doctor didn't tell me any of this or what he just said. So now my first shot won't even last me the first month. This shot is absolute CRAP. NO WAY IM EVER GETTING IT AGAIN. ITS INSANITY TO.
3 months? Why do we have to take it for so dam long? I’ve seen people say they’ve been taking it for years. That doesn’t sound reassuring at all man. It’s just trading one thing for another. That sht sucks.
I just got my first 300 injection. It sucks be on belief. I am in withdrawal. I’m depressed can’t sleep last night. I woke up covered in sweat at 3 o’clock in the morning.
I went into withdrawal 4 days after the first shot. For the first month my provider supplemented the shot with subs. If you watch the above video you will see blood plasma levels tank around week one and after the second shot they stay about the threshold. Ask your physician to supplement with subs and show him/her this video. It worked for me.

really? i know the pills and strips well but this shot is new to me and that is my fear. what happened? like you felt nothing? how were withdrawals. im so confused as the shot does sound like a great way to break that medication daily habit, but after methadone withdrawal i will not allow myself to exp. that level of hell
I did 300/100(4×) and now 5.5mo since my last shot. I haven't used since starting and have experienced absolutely no withdrawal. I have felt 100% since starting. The injection itself burns a little bit, but the process is over in seconds. Totally worth it and would highly recommend to anyone.
@Jeremy Feeney I sure don’t miss that! what a disaster it was for me, and expensive disaster because I had to pay for films for three months out of pocket!
@Jeremy Feeney I think a lot of it is how much or how little a body fat a person has, how hydrated they are and what dose they were on before the shot.

I’m going on vacation with my girlfriend leaving Saturday and I can’t take my Suboxone where I’m going so I’m trying the shot starting tomorrow And I am very nervous that this shot is going to let me down in the middle of the foreign country without my strips near me

PLEASE help. I got my 1st sublocade 300 mg shot, and it isnt helping. I feel horrible every day just like you said. 24 hours after the shot, I am having withdrawals every day and can barely get through work, or at least partial hours. I am considering just stopping now, rather than deal with this for another 2 months. Is this possible? Will the wd's worsen in severity? Or will I suffer the same wds as I am now until they just stop? It makes no sense to me, to be on a MAT that doesnt help me live. Not only for a month, but for THREE!!!???? I may as well become opiod free at this point. My Dr said DO NOT take extra films, they will "only make me constipated". So he was against even refilling my bupe 8mg tablet RX in case the shot didnt work. Well? Here I am again, being tortured, as Drs dont seem to give a fkk. I have a 2 week, post-shot appt with him. So after suffering for 2 weeks, Ill see him, and Ill bet he says stick it out another 2 weeks and see how you feel after 2nd shot. Then Ill bet, the 2nd shot also doesnt work. MANY Drs and practitioners are telling me its not until after the 3rd shot, the blood plasma levels really are optimal. Any help is very appreciated.
I wish this was around 15 years ago, it was amazing for me, swapping was extremely hard from methadone, but I'm so glad I did, a year since my last shot, and its incredible to be free from the chemist, the cost and everythingelse an opiate addiction entails, opiate free!

How is she doing? Just know that Subs are extremely hard to get off of. The withdrawal is worse and longer than any opioid or hard drug. The shot can help.

@@dalzy1969 I’ve been feeling good but not 100%. My doctor put me on a low dose of suboxone to hold me until the second shot.

I felt fine starting on my 100mg shot. I'd reduced sub strips and got 4 100'injections. Been over 70 days since my last shot. Good luck everyone x
I need this been on 4 mg for a long time started way higher I read the amazing things about this and I’m hoping to be free of these subs. I used to do real perc 30s like 3 a day and the va started me on 20 mg of subs Should be criminal
Omg that's awful! I was able to switch to no more than 8mg a day of suboxone coming off a 20 pills a day habbit of pressed fentanyl pills. 20mg subocone for a 3 pill perc habit is INSANE.
Yeah it’s day 3 for me and I feel like I haven’t took anything and I was only taking a half a day somtimes less
I'm struggling, I've been on Suboxone for 7 years 0 relapses, this is my 2nd time trying the shot, the first one worked for 3 days the first time then I had to supplement, 2nd shot after two weeks I was good, woke up on day 15 in withdraw. After that I said fuck it and went back to strips. I'm trying my second time now and I'm on day 9 and it's going the same way. I'm an avid outdoorsman and just want to be able to get up and go without 2 hours of feeling like shit in the morning like I could when I wasn't dependent on anything. I have to wake up at 3 am to be able to hunt in the morning.
I just got my first 300mg sublocade shot 2 days ago and feel fine so far. I was only taking 4mg of suboxone before the shot because I was running out of pills. Am I going to feel withdrawals this month? Ideally my goal is to get off all opioids completely. Can I just stop after this one shot or do I need to get a 100mg shot? Please help.
I very much doubt you will have withdrawals this month. In fact, you may feel overmedicated. 300mg is a big jump up from 4mg/day. I would recommend you do 100mg twice, then try walking away. There are other ways to do this, but I think this would be the smoothest.
I’m down to 4mg daily. Im thinking if I can get use to take 2mg a day, I’ll then try and do every other day. Kinda scared to do the shot since I hate shots and stomach looks like it’ll hurt
@@WelderDude Think about it like this brother, one you have nothing to lose my darling, and you may regret it if you don't take the plunge now rather than later..
And two, that bit of pain is going to be so worth it if its like how most of the comments say it is..
I am trying to contact my provider ATM to try the injection but no one has been getting back to me.. but I am scared of the pain too.. but im going to dive in and bear it if i get the opportunity.
@@kianah8866 sure once they start pushing the med in it hurts like a bitch but you
Can do anything for 20 seconds and then bam good to go. I’m not sure if people are on 24 mg that anything will be smooth I went from 4mg somtimes 8 mg. Weened down for 3 weeks to about 2 mgs and then randomly had to get the shot was probably to strong I feel fine tho I’m used to going through a certain amount of withdrawals every now and then so getting 100 next time and then going to try and stop granted I’ll still go in to the doctors. I’m a vet and it’s all free so I won’t be wasting money and then if after 5 weeks I can’t take it the. I’ll get it again.
@@justinplaysguitar they put lidocaine in the area, that pinch is wack I hate needles as well but the actual sub u don’t feel; atleast that’s what I hear
Idk how i feel Abt shot. On day 20 now & past 2 days i been feeling icky in the mornings like the med releases too late. Bunp is like a pimple size now. Initial Injection feels like stubbing a toe. Not bad. But i feel crappy & have no backup strips & next shot isnt until day 32. I dont wanna say it's the shot for sure cuz i started thc vapeing 3 days ago so not sure if symptom of burning chest i grt fron sub wd is just from the smoking or what. Having backup strips is a great idea to rule out things like this. 1st time in 5years im contemplating going to get sub strips in a not so good area. The first week also made me feel super sweaty. Coming from 10mg.
What if youre on a low dose? I take 4MG per day of Subutex and Im fine. My Doctor said I can start Sublocade next week at the 100 level shot. Dont know what to expect
What about taking it off to get off subutex?
What if you have tapered down on Suboxone before the Sublocade. The reason I ask is I was on 8mg for a couple years. Then 4mg a day for close to a year.. I know people who take a lot more. So if your on 4mg a day it seems the sublocade shot after the first ween dropping might not be as bad for someone who has tapered some. Just a thought good luck everyone.👍.
Can you be on fentanyl the same day you get the injection
Im in my first month and its not working so i can use strips to help i was rold you cant use anything with sublocade
Dr. Starr, Has anyone ever gotten a huge lump at the site of the injection? Is that normal? I really am asking for a friend.!
Dr should of told them it's the medication and normal. They aren't supposed to rub the bump or squish or hit it.
14 years too late but going into my second month definitely doesn't work well lucky i cut myself down half dose and kept half my prescription just in case and what do you know guess I was right to do so hoping it works better this month
It's Not that painful. It burns like stubbing a toe and sore for an hour. Then sore for 3 days. Not close to pain of a piercing or tat. The bump shrinks too. I'm not big looks like a pimple at week 3. It works well week 1 &2 but 3 feeling wd
I’m going for my 3rd shot but I relapsed tonight, can I take the shot tomorrow or do I have to wait 24 hours like Suboxyen ? I’m hoping NO cause it doesn’t have the Naxlone in it and I think that why u don’t get sick as it releases constantly
I think if you're less than a month out from your last shot you should be ok
@@KenStarrMDWellnessGroup It’s been 6 weeks since my last injection, that was my first mistake and I have an appointment for 9:30 this morning and I’m nervous

How did it go bro?
Can you tell me where to find those study?

Hello there Starr!
GUYS, PLEASE CHECK OUT SUBLOCADE SUBREDDIT! it’s a community of people you can ask your questions to that have ACTUALLY been through it.
Tell me you know nothing about border control without telling me.
I slipped up and returned to suboxone after a few months. I just received 1 300ml sublocade shot about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately for me, my insurance will not pay for anymore shots due to ending job and insurance. So i have no choice. The doctor is fine with putting me back on Suboxone, but im not.😂
In 2 weeks I'm going on it,but my Dr is also going to give me some strips,my Dr said he can give more than 300 mg shot
i have used intravenous is it harmful intravenous
I got my first shot 3 days ago. Is it normal for the my stomach to hurt really bad. It’s hot to the touch and red. Is it suppose to be like that?
Uhh, isn’t this kind of therapeutic level inconsistency supposed to be exactly what FDA testing identifies?
Can I go from fetnayal to sublocade
Waiting for my shot for 2 and a half months. Should it take this long?
My dr is going to give me a month script and yhe sublicade shot
How many mg of suboxone strips or pills do you need to be on to get the sublocade shot? Thank you so much!
My doc wanted me to be at 8mg. I had been taking 4mg for several years, but bumped up to 8mg for a week before the shot. Had my first 300mg injection a week ago, and have felt great.
They like you to be around 8 mg.
@@SilentInferno wow are you still on the shot or did you get it to get off subs ?
Have you heard of females period stopping after starting subloclade?. I read a comment on your RUclips channel saying she had this thing happened to her. Why is this?
Where could I find said literature to show my doctor? I'm on my second wee of first shot. And I'm def feeling some withdrawal symptoms. I work 50 hrs a week at a lumber mill so I can't really be dealing with this. I'm going to see my doctor but I hate asking for more. Makes me feel like a junkie again 😪

If you look at the serum levels in the photo, the first 4 weeks you're below 2ng/ml, the level needed to reduce cravings and withdrawal...
@@KenStarrMDWellnessGroup thank you I really appreciate it!
@@KenStarrMDWellnessGroup what is that the equivalent of per day?
@@KenStarrMDWellnessGroup way is 2ng/ml equivalent to with suboxone strip doses? Approximately?
I’m having this EXACT issue I’m on week 4 and the wd symptoms are coming on HARD and I’m extremely uncomfortable I tried calling my dr office for them to prescribe me a 4 day prescription of the strips to get me through till my 2nd shot and they refused. So I’m just supposed to suffer in the mean time? This cannot be legal or right!!! What can I do?!
Im so sorry this is happening. I just started the shot a week ago almost and really wish I had researched and seen these comments before I made the decision
I hope you in a better place and it has all been sorted out, me myself just started with my first injection today
And that’s why I have an off the market source for subs. It’s stupid that they won’t supply extras for you
Damn that was cold. I hope you made it through fine
...Doctor...
Do patients experience withdrawal when they decide to quit getting sublacade?
Most people report very minimal or no withdrawals at all. That's what is so appealing about it.
When I first started Suboxone it helped me not to feel depressed. After a year the depression is back in full force. Does Sublocade help anyone with depression?
Also is extremely painful when getting the shot. Equivalent to getting stung by a hornet for 5 straight minutes
It's always nice for drs to dismiss a patients experience with a new medication.
My problem is it appears I'm high because I keep nodding especially if I'm tired my family thinks I'm high on drugs
That's because you're on drugs...........don't worry, I won't tell anyone.
Ok, so you taper off suboxone to sublocade. How does it work for tapering off sublocade? 🤔
It burns like hell
My stomach hurts so so bad today, hoping it's normal? I got the 300mg yesterday.
so if im taking 1 mg of subuxone a day, how much ng per ml is that equal too??
That is too low from what I heard... they want around 8mg to give a shot.
@@WillBeecher that's not what they were asking. They were asking what the equivalent of 1mg suboxone is in blood plasma levels (thus the ng/ml part)

Had 3 of the 300mg shots. First was Oct 2018, then the following two months. None of the shot depots have dissolved and not one person including Invidior knows what to do. It didn’t work at all.
really? i know the pills and strips well but this shot is new to me and that is my fear. what happened? like you felt nothing? how were withdrawals. im so confused as the shot does sound like a great way to break that medication daily habit, but after methadone withdrawal i will not allow myself to exp. that level of hell
@Jeremy Feeney how much were you taking before?
It sucks people always wonder whats happening to them has they have just put the 1000 th McDonald's burger down their throats lol
Seems to act alot more after I eat
