Preah Vihear Temple is build over 260 before Thailand become a country or have a name for the country. and many Temple in Thailand today is belong to Khmer who build.
Why don’t they fix it up like Thai people fix up Phnom Rung temple etc. Cambodia people need to use the $$ they get to fix up the temple that’s rotting away! If this was in Thailand I’m sure it would have been fixed and taken cared of. I just don’t understand the Khmer mindset on why they don’t fix up the temples yet overcharge for tickets to Angkor etc. then I can see why Cambodia is slow to develop unlike other neighboring countries, it’s not a priority but when it rots away then what? I’m Khmer but living in the US and a lot of things just makes me shake my head. Like in Vietnam they left the Cham temples in terrible condition and literally falling apart but then they could care less since it’s not their ancestors temple but Khmer are the ancestors to the Khmer temples in Cambodia so wth? So frustrating to see temples rotting!

And fully received the culture from Siam and another thing, the current Khmer people including the Khmer scholars themselves will rewrite their own history. Because most knowledgeable Khmer people, 99% in the country, have all been killed since the Khmer Rouge era, genocide. There were more than 3 million deaths in that era being killed alive. 🐃🐃 If those people were alive today they should be about 40 years old or older, so the new generation and the current Khmer people are stupid and don't know the history of their own nation well enough. And it will also refer to the Cambodian educational system that is not well developed. Because knowledgeable Khmer people have been killed by the Khmer Rouge throughout the country.
