Un F-16 puede llevar 4 misiles ASM (Aire to Surface Missile) del tipo AGM-119 " Penguin " o 2 AGM-84 " Harpoon " que pueden dispararse desde distancias de 45 a 90 km .
Con 4 impactos se hundirá a un portaviones mediano como el " Kuznetzov " .
No sería necesario acercarse tanto . Esos alcances se dieron ante el riesgo de que los buques de guerra de las potencias llevan SAM's que superan los 100 km de alcance de ahí los de alcance medio , los antimisil de alcance y altura cortos para concluir con los CIWS .
