Myself and two buddies decided to travel to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the outdoor town of Marquette for some much needed destination mountain biking. We spend time at South and North Trails. These trails are incredible and feel as out West as anything could for being Midwest. If you haven't been there, get there. I rode these trails in 2020 but this was their first time here. Since we captured a fair amount of video I decided to break them up in 3-4 different episodes.
In Episode 4 we ride the North Trails for the first time...Wildcat and Mildcat were awesome!!

We’re headed up to Marquette from Illinois. Would a hard tail be okay on those trails?

There's something for everyone there and all types of bikes. I rode my fat bike up there 2 summers ago with only front suspension and it was fine. Check out the South Trails and ride Morgan Creek and the Pioneer Loops. Both can easily be done on a hardtail. Have fun!!
