      The game won at 2-1
      Pedri came at 2-1
      Yes Barca controlled and created more.. But what ? Only words coulda scored more
      Rafa mir played on right flank on purpose..barca easy to conceded by lobpass at that side
      How if Cubarsi wasnt there to swept the ball
      Last season opener at Getafe.. 75% ball possessed.. But what ?

      @@jazul123because under Xavi control was the main thing controlling the game tiring the opponent to attack the space faster and under flick it's all about relentless attack creating chances and in la liga it will be going to be interesting because Spanish football is all about technical players and slow game pace and German is all about pressing and intensity. I'd love to see this approach against teams with 5 backs and defensive mentality because flick style gave opportunities to the opponent to attack the spaces left behind and Barca missed some very good chances 2 because of teenagers

      In the first half, Barcelona didn't play creative midfielder instead it was Raphniah who is a right winger not creative midfielder. Things changed after Flicks brought in Pedri who is a creative midfielder.

      Those tactical analysis are not accurate.
      Barca had enough men in the box & just out to prevent that first goal for example.
      Balde did a good job racing up the pitch on his side. Kounde couldn't do that, not pacy enough but he defended so well.
      & Pedri introduction?? How much Barca played better in the second half?? Nothing on those

      @@mowajumuyideen7935 your comment is true except for the kounde defending well part.
      Kounde is the reason why the ball got crossed into the box in the first place.

    • @ikpeamaojichukwu5947
      @ikpeamaojichukwu5947 2 месяца назад

      Kounde does this thing when wingers run at him rather than facing them, he runs backward until they are close to the box and have enough time to think whether to cross the ball or shot at the post or look for a foul.
      Last season psg second leg he did it, real Madrid second leg he did it, he is always doing it i can even make a 10 minutes video of him skipping back

    You always get everything spot on, I really enjoyed the analysis too. I feel like the main reason why Flick wanted the wingers to press the centre backs was because of Lewandowski. Cox he doesn't have the legs anymore to press the entire 90 minutes but the problem is against big teams with quality players it can hurt them a lot but this is the first game and am sure Flick will make some tweaks and one thing that probably flew under the radar was that Barcelona didn't look really vulnerable on the counter and also Valencia didn't and couldn't play through their midfield directly with a pass or two compared to other seasons especially last season. This was because of the way they compacted the middle which forced Valencia to play wide. TOP TIER ANALYSIS

      I would love to see Pau Victor as No 9 in a full strength team. He offers great movement, and slick interchange of passes even if may lack the killer instict of Lewa. Also Lewa has not learnt the Barca way of quick short passes in tight areas.

      @quadro1337 2 месяца назад +1

      @@nil_90 "Also Lewa has not learnt the Barca way of quick short passes in tight areas." Thats some bullshit, i would pick him as the only one in Barca who actually use the fast short passes, everyone knows his ankle flicks. He does that all the time with great success. He is actually great in passing, he ended up on top3 in assists in previous season (a freaking forward 9 got more assists than midfielders, that says a lot about his versatility), better than many Barca midfielders.

  • @akashm8358

    I think in the 2nd half, flick fixed the problem and went back to his usual pressing style. The 1st half was bad because he changed his pressing considering Lewandowskis age and he wanted the wingers to apply more oressure. 2nd half, Lewandowski was more involved in pressing and i dont remember any significant opportunity that Valencia had in 2nd half and barca could have easily scired anither 2 goals

    7:36 I didnt like that "Flick Ball" for the equalizer but it was good play to capitalize on the situation. I like Raphinha he will work hard but not in the CAM, that caused us to not really have much control of the game (when Pedri came on it showed what kind of control I am talking about). Pablo Torre would have done a better job and play Raphinha on the left, but because this was a season opener I guess Flick didn't want to "over step rank" so to speak.

  • @yo_seb5195
    @yo_seb5195 2 месяца назад +45

    Considering Iñigo, Bernal, Casado, Ferran aren’t starters and Raphinha being played out of position as a CAM… this was a really good result with a really good and important win. We 65% possession, 18 shots, 6 on target, Flick had us playing great football this match could’ve easily ended 4-1 with the chances Casado missed. Obviously there are things to improve, but most of the ugly came from individual errors like Iñigo being unaware defensively, Ter Stegen giving a bad pass almost leading to a goal, and Ferran just being absolute dog sh!t. But as a team we looked pretty solid and when our starters return I’m hoping we look even better.

      I agree with what you said, but not how you said it.
      Many tactics videos are saying "this is how x manager is playing" and it has only been pre-season or 1 game of the season. Pre-season results never matter and it is all about experimentation, and one league game obviously isn't enough to distinguish how a team will play tactically for the season - I agree that you should wait for 4-6 games before saying "this is how x manager is tactically setting up the team".
      However I do think you can have individual game tactical analysis "X vs Y" and then talk about potential patterns that did/didn't work. I also agree that it is easy to fall into the assuming trap of how the team will play after one game.
      HOWEVER, I think you phrased it in an aggressive manner and all the tactical channels are releasing tactic videos because engagement with the season is high and people want to know how the new managers will want to set up their team. Can't blame them but it just means the in depth analysis won't be as good as it will be in 4 weeks time (but 4 weeks is a long time to wait on YT)

    Interesting analysis! Flick's first La Liga match certainly showcased his tactical vision, with Barcelona's attacking play being dynamic and engaging. The pressing shape and defensive setup, however, did leave them vulnerable, particularly on the flanks and when Valencia exploited gaps. It's clear that while the attacking intent was evident, especially in how Barcelona used the wide areas and created chances, the defensive structure needs refining. As Flick continues to adjust, it’ll be intriguing to see how he balances these aspects and improves overall stability. Looking forward to seeing how his tactics evolve!

    You're evaluating the Barca game incorrectly. Flick's whole concept is based on aggressive attacking football and generating chances. So defensively, he's sacrificing the wings but keeping a strong center. So the best way to judge would be the conversion of expected goals. As they approach closer to conversion 100%. They'd be well on their way to be like Flick's Bayern

    5??? A clear 7 against a good team playing home, with 5 players from la masia younger than 20 and many players unavailable (de jong, gavi, gundo, araujo, etc)

    Barcelona attacking will be dangerous once the club accept the loan deal of Kinsley Coman or they buy quality LW.

    Lewandowski’s two goals saved his image, but this is not sustainable. If we meet any serious opposition, they take their chances any day. He should be the one leading the press but because he cannot run, wingers are forced to press centrally. He’s still the weakest link in the team and flick must be bold and bench him sometimes. Should be left to come on after 70minutes

    5/10 for Flick is too harsh. It's literally his first competitive game, and having to play with bunch of kids, and no first-team midfielders available.

    Flik is good, he def likes attacking whic his suitable for a team like barca. but hey!!! remember the last season for him at Bayern!? I honestly think flik will be good but won't win la liga. His style needs players with stamina and agility due to the high pressure his tactics requires! mid season his team will be torn apart, and in front of big teams he will be lose......
