    Nice job! Just some advice from my days working in chassis testing, I would recommend not tightening any suspension joint until the weight of the car is on its wheels otherwise you will pre load the bushes which will create excess noise/vibration and harshen the ride. Also it could cause premature wear on the bushes. ws.

    • @ofValor
      @ofValor 3 года назад

      Didn't know that! How, logistically, do you tighten them while the car is on the ground? Do it on an alignment rack?

    • @johnkai2012
      @johnkai2012 3 года назад +2

      @@ofValor yes that’s right an alignment rack is ideal or any car lift that keeps the weight of the car on the wheels. Then loosen off the bolts and re-torque

    Question: Should you make or not a new alignment, after you install new shocks ?

    • @EvolveAutomotive
      @EvolveAutomotive  5 лет назад +1

      Since no adjustment points were touched there’s no need to get an adjustment. The ride height actually raised a little from the fresh dampers which would equate for an alignment but we expect that to settle fairly quickly.
      If in doubt always get it checked as most good places will offer free checks and just charge for adjustments. But general rule of thumb is if none of the adjustment points have been touched and the ride height hasn’t been altered there’s no need for an adjustment.
      It’s a good idea to get it checked now and then to ensure correct handling characteristics and tyre wear.

    Hi, Johnny from Sweden here. Thanks for the Review. This could be intresting for me on my M4 Comp pack. One thing that i don't really like with the M4 is that the rearend doesn't give you the planted feel and confidence when you push it on the limit of grip. As the Engine is so responsive it puts out so much torque so fast that the rearend tends to brake loose very Quick. If this suspension improves the feel for the rearend it would be great, making you go faster on the limit of grip as confidence of what is going to happen is better. Would you say that this is something that is considerably improved?
    Thanks, Johnny Lehti

      Hello Johnny. Yes we noticed an improvement in this as the tyres seemed to have more contact with the road in these situations especially on roads that are not that smooth. Another thing that will help you is to update the traction and diff software in the car to the GTS version

      B16s are a firmer ride more focused on track work whilst still being usable on the road. They also come with springs and have height adjustability.
      They’re similarly priced but for 2 different audiences. If a full road car we’d recommend B6 along with an MSS spring kit for the perfect setup.

      Evolve Automotive Evolve Automotive yes I don’t do much track work but do drive the car hard and also have many twisty roads here so I want to eliminate the exact pitch/roll the body does when going fast around corners.
      MSS = M performance HAS? If B16 would be too extreme for normal driving I was thinking B6 with Emanuelle design springs.
      So you would say with these B6 shocks it has eliminated the pitch fully? I wouldn’t mind running B16’s if it was 100% going to eliminate it with a little bit of a harder ride. Thanks for the hasty reply 👌🏽✌🏽

    • @EvolveAutomotive
      @EvolveAutomotive  5 лет назад

      To drive fast on unsmooth roads you need compliance. B16 may be better suited to you.
      MSS is a company that makes a height adjustable spring kit that performs better than anything we’ve tried.
      Of course you’re also comparing B6 with EDC to B16 without EDC, so there’s a sacrifice of electronic dampening control when considering the B16, whether that’s important to you or not.
