After being in the hospital for a month with shattered bones…two men and two women stood out to me the most amongst a sea of women. I have this very bizarre memory of this male nurse who came in and started blabbering about some AppleTV show and then conspiracy theory for a good long while at like 3am and then just left. I honestly wonder if he was even staff. Lmao. He didn’t do anything except walk in the door and talk at me about crazy bs. Honestly my weirdest experience in my month there. Never saw him again which was especially weird and I definitely wasn’t dreaming or too doped up. I remember the show he was on about. He was like, “I don’t even like sports, but you HAVE to watch it.” But he wasn’t talking to me, he was talking at me from the doorway. It was so freaking weird. He also stood out to me, obviously…but I mean the other four have a special place in my heart. That dude has a special place in my mind.

I majored in computer science and I had a classmates in college who was a black girl and she was the coolest. She was active in outreach programs and now she works at Google. Best of luck with your studies. I graduated in 2016 and majoring in CS is the best thing I could’ve done. The pay and flexibility is unreal 😌

Exactly, that's the point. Since this promotes that, people could have guessed based on that. Just look at what is statistically unlikely, and it matches: a man in nursing is much less common than a woman, a black girl in computer science, a Middle Eastern/Black guy as a pilot in the US, a female in neuroscience, an Asian girl getting into film, it all represents the less likely and minority percentage in that field.
As a nursing major, I immediately guessed him! There’s two different types of nursing- 1.) mean girl doing it for aesthetic 2.) people who genuinely care and want to help people. He radiates number 2 💛
as a fellow nursing major, i completely agree and totally pegged him as a nursing major too, its like in acotar how they're always saying "like calls to like" lol

I have never heard of the mean girl thing for nurses! In the UK nurses are just notorious for liking to drink a lot/party

I admire anyone who can pursue nursing that has had or have a medical history. As someone who has been in and out of hospitals my entire life, for me personally being a nurse hits too close to home and I think I would be an emotional wreck 99% of the time. That being said, I’ve had some amazing nurses who I will never forget made my experience that much less awful and if I ever did at some point want to pursue it - it would be because of them.
I’m a PA and one of the reasons I became interested in the medical field is when I was 16 I was diagnosed with Spina bifida (yeah late in life but I was born in 91 and they didn’t know much about it). And I had back surgery at 16. Thought I wanted to be a pediatrician and then during freshman year of college I found out about the PA profession and that aligned better with me than being a doctor.
I also currently have crohns and have a hx of anemia and osteopenia.
Same! I could never work in hospitals or medical facilities/offices of any sort after my personal experience of spending so much time there as patient for same reasons you mentioned. But shout out to those that can!

The tall blonde girl gave me neuroscience from the beginning. It's the tiredness and lack of life in her eyes (I got my bachelor's in chemistry, so I know my science peers haha).
I’m in my last year of nursing school and just like the nursing guy (who I guessed right away!) I wanted to be a nurse since I was 11 after seeing a family member battle cancer. I HATE the nursing mean girl stereotype. That’s probably true for like 30% of nurses but also isn’t like the same amount of bullies anywhere? There are so many nurses like him who truly found a calling helping others in a vulnerable state. I work oncology (cancer patients) and it has been such a honor to be serving those the way someone served my grandpa. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the unit he works on! He’s super empathetic!

The moment that first guy walked into the frame I knew he was either neuroscience or nursing major. The funeral girl too, just gave me vibes that she would be into those kinds of stuff.
I didn’t really understand the whole concept of college majors and the stereotypes associated with them until my third year in college. Watching this video made me reflect on my own journey. It was entertaining to see how stereotypes, though often inaccurate, play a strong role in our perceptions. We shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, and everyone has their unique story and reasons for choosing their paths. The highlight for me was the story of the one who chose nursing after battling cancer. It’s moments like these that remind us of the profound impacts of personal experiences on our life choices.

True! Social media loves to do the classic “STEM majors suffer a lot but they get money” vs “Humanities majors aren’t important and work at fast food” argument.
Either way, it’s your education! Any of them can work out as long as you put hard work and effort into your schoolwork and networking! As a CS major, I admire Humanities majors because they’re journalists, therapists, translators, writers, teachers, equally important members of our society! Just like developers, scientists, healthcare workers, and engineers are equally important as well!
For those worrying about your major: do you. Don’t let negative comments or self entitled people get you insecure about your career of choice. Plan it out on your accord and you’ll be successful
