I Got teary eyed as well, because I know it's a fact that in some societies and the one I live in as well that wealth , status and fame are seen as hallmarks of success. It is a sad sad state that people are willing to suffer for other people' s approvement. People let themselves be dependent on that approvement and risk their happiness and freedom.
I got teary eyed, because to me the suit and his upright pose and neatly grooming does represent a dignified view of oneself which people often reserve for people of certain status and I think it is great that this man has this look for a profession that often is not seen by society deserving of that look. I myself respect greatly the job of a street vendor and there is nothing to suspect the OP thinks otherwise. I used to be restless and try to be special in life. I am a warehouse laborer and I used to feel bad about my job and shameful. but I see things way differnt now. We are a big organism together and I feel real pride in trying to do my part in society as good as possible and the image of this man to me is inspiring to stay on the good path and do my job as well as possible.

It won't take even 5 minutes if all of them picked up plastic bags and kept the place bit clean. I have seen and eaten at many fast food carts in Thane and Mumbai where even a small panipuri guys keeps his surrounding place very clean. So as to make customers feel comfortable. Many small vendors like tea sellers, dabeli wala, bhel wala first sweep the place then spray some water to avoid dust in vicinity. It's not a duty but it's a basic sense and so is respecting every opinion. You are not the only 1 with brain on the planet. So better you also learn it and shut your mouth and do good as much as u can. No gyan baji plz.
