    Making 200w rf with 24*6=144w dc is quite impossible

    Hello sir, 1watt input with a current of 6A is enough? What if you feed 7watts at the same current input if okay the transmitter will work?.... Thank you

    With 24.6Vdc / 6.13A = 150.8WPds. The efficiency of Class C is 78,5% - 88,5% ....so the true power output is 120-130W. ...and that is the safest 24/24 operation for this linear. ((To obtain 170W -180W it needs 27-28Vdc and some modifications at input matching, at bias and LPF circuit...but it will heat up the output matching cables, the mosfet, or......much much possible destroy the mosfet.!!))

    Dear Sir:
    Can you explain this:
    Pin= 24,6V * 6,13A = 150,8W
    In AB1 class you have an efficiency of 60%
    n= 0,6
    Pout< 150,8W * 0,6 < 90W
    Thank you so much for share and please wich instrument do you use to read 200W and which dummy load of 50 ohms is used.
    Again very nice video from Argentina.

    Tacking bulbs and leds to the output looks dangerous to me. Surely a power meter, RF load, attenuator and spectrum analyser would be much better for a demonstration. So.... has this amplifier got 23db gain ?

    Une petite question. En gros, l'ampli consomme env 150 watts pour une puissance de sortie de 200 watts (???). Si l'on admet un rendement de 60% env et que l'ampli est bien réglé, on aura au maximum peut-être 90 à 100 watts en sortie. D'autre part, je me demande si cet ampli fournit vraiment 200 w avec 1 w en entrée. Dans ce cas il faudrait l'attaquer avec 2 à 3 w pour voir s'il monte à 200 w.
    Dans ce cas, il devrait consommer env 13 A sous 25 v avec un rendement de 60%. Après, s'il fournit 200 w sur toute la bande, c'est autre chose.

      De toute façon son ampli à pas du faire long feu quand on voit qu'il connecte une lampe de voiture sur la sortie RF 🤦‍♂️ 1:47 Et le pire c'est que le module LDMOS utilisé est censé sortir MAXIMUM 170W

    Ye circuit maine bana ke rakha hai, GP antenna me maine 2 floor ke upar chat pe install kiya aur kuch 85 watt output nikal raha tha(mera 100 watt ka hai) aur swr ko 1.1 taq maine tune kar liya tha...
    Town ke beech me mera ghar hai aur signal 5 KM tak ja raha thaa... Abb, lag raha hai antenna ko improve karna hoga, height toh badha ke dekh lunga mey...

      @@ELECTRONICSINVENTORMSingh - Its 170 input power as per the power draw from the power supply. Amps of this type are only 50 to 60 percent efficient. You are lucky if you get 90 to 100 watts out the connector on this amp. You have to account for the losses in the pre stage and the driver stage as well. ALL the power developed there is burned as heat into the final which makes the final step up in power. You need to get a real watt meter and check this. Not for us who know how to work on this stuff but for yourself. I am sure it works very well but it is NO WHERE NEAR even 125 watts. And voltmeters are not sufficient to check this power.
      BTW... the only bulb that is the correct impedance for the amplifier is not able to withstand the power level you are at. 1895 and 194 automotive lamps are a perfect 50 ohms for 5 watt transmitters but will not work for this beast. You might be able to build a dummy load out of an array of those bulbs...

      @@ELECTRONICSINVENTORMSingh - That transmitter needs more voltage on the power supply to be able to do 200 watts and I doubt the transistors can take it. Its a dangerous balance. Most 200 watt transmitters are around 42 volts.
      I have a 1500 watt home brew transmitter that is wideband on FM broadcast. I worked as an engineer on 2 way radio and for a broadcast transmitter manufacturer. What you are proporting here is VooDoo electronics and is not possible. You have to account for the losses and that you do not have enough power supply to make 200 watts. If you want to make 200 watts with 24 volts you need about 15 amps to do it. Maybe a little less but I am allowing some cushion. 24 volts x 10 amps is 240 watts. So 12 amps is probably the steady draw. You need a 300 watt 24v power supply.
