Mr. Bob Myers. Good review of this lens. I’m with You on why Canon does some of thses things. The lack of a supplied hood, and a pouch/case, is ridiculous. Many YT reviewers have commented on this in addition to yourself. And to add “insult to injury,” the prices Canon asks for some of these hoods! Take care and stay safe. Cheers
