- A son to a couple, who were killed in cold blood in Karura area, Kiambu county was on Friday arrested as a suspect into the Killings. Police said they arrested the son identified as Lawrence Warunge after he went missing since Tuesday when his parents, two brothers and a worker were brutally murdered at their home. Lawrence, a university student in the city, was initially thought to have gone to school but it was established he had gone into hiding. He later led the detectives into recovery of weapons used in the murder.

If he was not alone, then let him say so. For the time being he has stated that he was alone and that the only accomplice was his girlfriend whose only involvement was to supply the knives (without knowing what they were to be used for)! Why are people developing a soft spot for this evil character. The first line of excuses when he disappeared was that he could have been abducted. When the DCI pointed a direct finger at him, the street narrative changed to " Noooo, he can't hurt a fly". But now evidence against him piles up and backed by his own confession, the narrative has changed to, " Yes, he could have been involved but he was not alone!" Its really sad. I think this shows what most parents are going through behind closed doors. Our children are exposed to stuff they shouldnt consume and later blame their wrong view of the world to the parents. The only way we can solve such social issues, is by seeing ourselves as the source of such. The day we see ourselves for whom we have truly become. Such manifestation shows who we have become as a society. We cant dare blame the parents for raising him as they did. Nobody is raising their children alone. It takes a village to raise a child.

Haaiyah! Very interesting observation. This might unlock some part of the riddle. Among Lawrence's complaints against his parents was that they were practising witchcraft and wanted to bewitch him. Could it be that Lawrence experienced a mental twist long before he reported his parents and in desperation the mother contacted a some "murogi" to "exorcise the evil spirits from Lawrence" which could have agitated him to report to authorities?? I was wondering where he could have picked that witchcraft talk from.

This student, Lawrence Wairunge, was a student at St Paul Thomas Academy as I was classmates with him. It is quite shocking that he ended up this way. Truly Sad.

It was not a wrestling match. Firstly he applied the element of surprise. Secondly he isolated his victims as much as possible. Thirdly familiarity created a sense of misguided trust. Fourthly he avoided body-to-body contact. He applied the principle of "action at a distance". He took them out, at least the more formidable ones using a metal bar. And whom did he send to fetch the metal bar for him??? It was the mason/farm worker with whom he had happily taken lunch a few hours earlier, and who was just about to become his first victim! This man is a psychopath in one of its worst forms. I can't comprehend why some people completely fail to grasp this simple fact.
