Idk by what you meant since Beamng is literally a sandbox type game (you will see tutorials on how to do so but note it's obviously gonna work only on normal gameplay as campaign mode technically does what's it supposed to do but one thing was either forgotten or just not is the terrain editor meaning you just move your car slightly or just grab it in the editor and it just repairs it

How the brake lights work is if they are in arcade mode, they're screwed anyway as the brake lights WILL ALWAYS stay on even if You've used the parking brake so try out the realistic mode (just change the physics type to that in the setting and it will stop even after starting the car) that's probably why he was immediately spotted because of the brakes on on themselves (yes, haha i said on twice)

Can't you just read the license plates for their names?
There is ai traffic that also uses their plates. It makes it harder to see them.
