2:52 that's a special trick shot. Not many in the game can impart that spin with that power, let alone on television! Wow. It's all about timing, and this was timed close to perfection. Roberston's cue action is amongst the best ever.
When an opponent is on 134 or 140, the opponent also wants him to complete the maximum. and when he completes it, opponent is even more happier. That's the beauty of this game. #snooker
Agree 100 percent and honestly what you just said applies to most players now days. Even Ronnie as good as he is pussies out a lot lately. Guess snooker has changed with all the money in it now days but to me makes it less entertaining and enjoyable.
The first minute is compilation pictures of Neil Robertson looking like Neil Robertson. Is his library so full of poor shots that you had to have a minutes worth of nothing ?
Apart from maybe Judd Trump , Robertson probably has the most cue power of any player ever to pick up a cue. The difference is Judd enjoys using his power more for the entertainment of the crowd, whilst in the case of Neil Robertson, it is a weapon in his armory which he can call upon should he ever need it. Even though this is a compilation of his exhibition shots, these are not the kind of shots he plays with much frequency, definitely less than that of Trump, but he more than has the power to do so, if ever he feels like it. To me, that makes his exhibition shots more special, as he plays them with less frequency.
There are plenty of players on the circuit with tremendous cue power you only see certain players use it a lot in competition but Jimmy White is the king off cue power banana shots in my opinion
@@CountMackula do you know why, from a stick delivery point of view? When i ask this question, I'm basing it on "exibition" shots, between the two players, not regular game play situations, because the disparity between the two players in match play, is no where near the gap in exhibition shots. In other words, Trump imo easily rates to beat trump on a 10\8 pace, posibly more, but even that is huge at that level. But exhibition shots, Trump destroys him.....and there is a reason, based on delivery of the stick. One key aspect. Because I just want to make it clear, especially in the past 2 years, Trump clearly has elevated, but so has Robertson. Robertson is a DEVISTATING player. DEVISTATING.....2ND OR 3RD BEST ON THE PLANET. Trump though is #1 and no comparison, but on the exhibition side, not the match play side. My original statement made Neil seem ignomanious and I should have been more clear. My god, in 2019 they both played, Trump would not be denied, Trump ran over him i think in one of the major tournaments, cant remember which one, but I remember, Neil was down like 4-0 and stepped up to the table, and ran out one of the most cleanest, geometrically executed perfect game ive ever seen. Neil is out of this world GOOD. Just wanted to make that clear and I apologize. But exhibition side of delivery, not even GOD will change my opinion because its not even close. Trump does something in delivery that neil does not on average....most in fact cannot. Can you see what that difference is? I can, easily. Im curious if you can as well.
@@CountMackula ruclips.net/video/arcCu52WhGk/видео.html this is the 2019 match i spoke of and vs O'Sullivan, not Trump. Go to 1:25:00, Robertson down 4-0 and 50 points in the game, I always remember this particular game....perfect delivery execution for every shot. In some respects, like transition from stand up to cueball address, Neil is superior to Trump and that is no comparison because Neil doesnt have to physically shift during mid stroke like Trump does, which means, Neil lands himself more in the perfect spot, high elbow, no tweaking, a few feathers and release.....perfect. Not to mention as well, Neil also drops in over the top and holds it there.....this is extremely difficult to do. Because most players, you, I, world champs etc etc come into the shot from the side, either rotating left to right or right to left, rarely if ever over the top. But the biggest difference i mentioned in question to you between the two players, is when going below center and with power, the tendency for us all, even Robertson, is a elbow drop and a tip that rises upward which also means deceleration. When Trump goes low with power, he doesn't break down mechanically and penetrates through the cueball on the same low angular plane that his backstroke created.....most players cannot do it. This is why, Robertson on long power draw shots, the cueball is pounded hard and bouncing and draws back but with a slow spin and travel, where Trump, is more of a hyper backspin, stays on the cloth and slower travel forward, then a faster mph screw back because the cueball mass isnt fighting the initial forward velocity nearly as much for the business of having now to screw back. Do you understand? Its clear to see if you watch closely. Its obvious. What is not obvious though, is the remedy for neil to duplicate that like trump.....it is not a simple fix and to remedy it would probably take neil a few years and risk losing his game completely in the revamp....very very risky. That difference though, spills into match play as well because of the subtle difference between other shots trump can do better than neil, soft draws and hold angles better if needed....and it will be needed. Killing ticky angle shots near the pack is O'sullivan's strength, better than trump or anyone else. Ehhhh stephen Lee, yeah he gets over the cue distinctly better than the rest in general but as far as all the components to be a top 5 player, the record shows he lacks the right character and I consider him a loser imo but yeah he gets through the cueball much better than most, if not all. Its not easy to line up and shoot across your belly like he does, but that is basically the only way for perfect alignment and all he has to do is grip comfortably and swing....the way most of us think it should go but most of us always line up outside-in and we have to find the spot where we can land where our stroke distance is in the spot where it's straight because a misposition of alignment and this is why your stick deviates to the left or the right depending on the shot but with Lee and his setup there is no deviation and that's why he can power draw the shit out of balls and so forth. His talent is his physical contortion into cueball address.
Some great shots BUT... he will not play shots like this when he’s behind in frames and points. Truly great players can play shots like this when trailing in the score.
It's the definition of an exhibition shot, something done without pressure, for fun, it's useless and counterproductive, why make one cushion when you can make four?... :)

Lovely guy! Amazing player! I'm a big fan!!!
On his day he is the best in the world. Love watching him play.
Neil roberston and Ronnie o'sullivan are the 2 most interesting players to watch of this era

One full minute of intro?
Pra mim, Robertson, O'Sullivan e Judd Trump são os melhores, com todo o respeito aos demais.

That cue power is insane really .. Just wow!
He needs to loosen up and play more like this. He's tightened up in recent years. When he was younger and less insular, he was a better player

It's hard because he thinks he's a better player now. I have no opinion either way, but that's what I heard him say in this world champs interviews.
