    Only just introduced to his books. Brilliant. I’ve done the healing work and it continues……his brilliant explaining makes me feel at home with myself. Knowing the healing has been effective as I now live in the healthy paradigm. Life is now so peaceful and open to possibility of what it brings, not clinging but with allowing and be-ing. I now give myself the 5A’s and accept no less (appropriately) on my journey.from the outer world mirroring back.

    David Richo's work is simply amazing. He's had a tremendous transformative impact on my psychological healing and development. I highly recommend his books to go deeper in to all this.

    Thank you Sir. Very well explained. "Mirroring, Idealising, Twinship" - I just realised that Rudolf Steiner (1920s and 30's) spoke about these three stages in his intuitive work on soul/child development; namely "Goodness, Beauty, Truth" (also known as our nerve-sense system / heart-lungs system / metabolism-limbs system). Even as adults, our soul has many opportunities to transform ourselves through the conscious therapeutic relationship with our clients.

      @@kirstinstrand6292 That's so lovely to hear Kirstin. Same here on feeling as if "it's opened up a new world". I've been exploring Anthroposophy for three years now and I still don't know what to 'think'. Turns out there's a difference between thoughts and imagination images and ideas, as gifts. :D I've found that it's best to 'feel' through what we happen to discover through the many Steiner offerings. Then our Perception and Intuition can gradually becomes clearer and Life begins to reveal more to us somehow, about 'relationships'.
      I wish you all the best with your discoveries and development Kirstin. Do feel free to keep in touch. -Nisha. instagram.com/nisha.halai_artist/?hl=en-gb

      @@TheHappyNisha thanks much for speaking of Antroposophy. I had been avoiding a deep dive into it.
      Your explantation was useful. Intellectual idea is very different from imagery, as real experience is different from both. I tested out by thinking of a slice of watermelon. Then I imagined a slice in front of me, on a table. Then I thought of a big slice, as I bit into its juicier flesh. ALL 3 experiences are different.
      One of these days I'll send you an Instagram. I have many thoughts about Rudolf Steiner. Wow, 3 years? That's lot of listening, or reading. 1 month, for me...off and on.

      look I love woo-woo as much as the next guy but Steiner was a racist eugenicist whose theories issued from the belief that he was a channel for divine wisdom so maybe we could plumb the ✨cosmos✨ for some role models who weren’t a direct inspiration for the Nazis

    I love the way this man speaks. So eloquent and captivating. I don't know where we went wrong in society to elect someone like Jordan Peterson as our designated public intellectual in the field of psychology rather than Dave Richo or Gabor Mate.

    This is a fascinating subject. Immediately after listening to this, I started watching for transference in my interactions with people. Like for example telling myself not to make my boss into my critical, emotionally distant father. I think that has given me problems with authority all my life. Being aware of it gives me a better opportunity to see him as just another person like me instead of this projection of my father.

    Hi everyone, we recently interviewed Dr. Richo on our podcast, called Angel Empire. We interviewed him about his book How to Be an Adult in Relationships and finding love in a late-capitalist society. We cover the mindfulness trend, Eastern vs. Western approaches to finding happiness, phases of relationships, when to get married, our 'shadow side', ego, and more.
    (Angel Empire is a comedic commentary on life under late-stage capitalism that examines culture, politics, tech, work, and leisure. Listen anywhere you get your podcasts. Warning: explicit content.)

    Sooo good!
    I have a curious question. How come a therapist wants to make all the steps in 5 A:s when its same steps in love? Isnt that a lot of fake against the patient, so to speak? I mean, it is really easy to make someone feel hustled if that is happening or am I wrong?

    • @purplecarrotstirfry
      @purplecarrotstirfry 6 месяцев назад

      A therapist wants to help a client find healing and love heals. A therapist can love in a boundaried, professional way without faking it or hustling the client.

    My therapist seems to be totally letting my my parent off hook for key life issues affecting my life today making comments like "well it would have been nice..." I initially really like this therapist and actually still do but I am starting to notice a pattern of feeling of getting an underlying message that I am in so many words being given the message that I am the one to blame. I am glad I just happened upon your video.. I had a session today I end up saying to my therapist what is it that you think of me? It feel like you are blaming me. I am really truly wondering what is going on here and what my therapist really think of me and what I may have conveyed over the past year or so that she comes off at me this. And as far as interruptions from my therapist.. that has become a staple in our sessions at this time. And then, on other end when I actually feel bad about not following through on something I'd intended to do and tell her how I felt bad about it... then I'd get like a weird opposite reaction which is still sweet "coddling" hidden "blame" response at end of the day such as "Oh I think your being to hard on yourself." So now I am being to hard on myself for just expressing how I felt about something I did. And reason it bothered me was because - it was like she was deflecting addressing the real issue which was not in any way addressed nor resolved by the response she gave. Hope this makes sense - do you think its what your talking about and/or "transference - counter transference" in this video going on or what 😩 ?
