Apparently girls that age in the 2000's listened to vinyl.
Haha, yes - believe it or not vinyl never actually stopped being in production it just stopped being pressed as much between arnd 1993-2009ish when CDs took over. But there was still plenty of bands making small batch releases and Gossip were still on Kill rock stars indie label during this album. So answer is yes some of us have owned record players forever... :)
@@fotoautomatmusic They also released the album on CD which is what girls this age would have listened to it on. Of course I understand that the video is acting and the insert of vinyl into the scene was just an attempt to be retro trendy.
@@redplague well I was that age when this song came out and I certainly had a record collection as well as CDs, it was easy to get hold of great records in charity shops like Bowie and Pink Floyd for $1-2 in the early/mid 00s still - but not heaps of new vinyl being repressed till around 20008/9. There was some though, I worked in a CD/record store around the Tim this came out and don't recall seeing a vinyl version in London tho mind you, maybe in USA.
