Friendship break ups are HARD. In the past few years, I’ve had a couple of hiccups with friends. But thankfully I put my pride aside and rekindled with some of them (not all).
I recognized the “LIFETIME REAL ONES!”
Who are your lifetime real ones?
Everyone is not meant to be a lifetime friend. However, there are some people God has placed in your lives to stay in it. It’s important to identify those individuals.
Lifetime friends are high quality and rare. These are the people who know your deepest darkest secrets. They are there for you during the good and bad times. If you ever need money, you can count on them and they likely won’t ask for it back. You can go long periods without talking and always pick back up where you left off because you both respect one another’s current seasons.
If you ever find yourself going through a rough patch with a real one, I encourage you to do your best to rekindle, restore, forgive and love on them 🫶🏾♥️
Yes, there will be cases where you may need to go your separate ways. I don’t encourage remaining in a toxic friendship.
You’ll know from the depths of your heart whether or not you need to have a conversation that’s not via text 🙃. Pick up the phone and call.
