I just came out a week ago on my 20th birthday as gay and RUclips Recommended me this video. I'm so happy that when I was a child, before hearing this song, I knew I was gay and now that I'm out, I got tears hearing this again with that music video. I felt loved. Congrats! Coming out is a very special thing. It is almost in a way a right of passage for any Gay or Bisexual person. Next year will mark ten years since I came out. I remember I had just turned 16 and was in my sophomore year of high school. I was accepted, by my parents and down the road, my relatives. It was shaky ground to tread on. I have to admit. Of course, no one seemed decent enough or clean enough to date while I was in high school, they all seemed out for you know what. It wasn't until 2019 when I met who would become my future partner. He and I are now engaged as of this May. Looking back I never would have guessed that I would have known that I wouldn't have to wait too long to find my first love and ONLY love. He and I are best friends as well as perfect partners. We have our own flaws, but I can say all throughout high school and college I worked hard to perfect these flaws and better myself. I took the time to strengthen my own foundation as a good person. I will say that I don't know you and you don't know me, but I think that bettering yourself and finding who you, truly are before dating is a very worthwhile endeavor. There might be trying times down the road while you wait, and the temptation to jump on that train might be so hard to resist, but trust me, it will be worth it. Once again, congrats on this special occasion and I am truly happy that you have a supportive circle. Best wishes for you down the road.

Right!? I mean I get it.. With girls (like Taylor in the original video) it’s a hell of a lot easier to do a transformation. For dressy events women have a whole arsenal of hair extensions, lashes, nails, miracle working makeup, heels & sparkly dresses at their disposal. Men have got a nice tux, maybe plain foundation...and that’s it! But they could have ditched the glasses for contacts, styled the hair more, and maybe put him in a more stylish, unique tuxedo. Something! Lol.. It’s really not fair if you think about it..The fashion & beauty industries have not been kind to men. Like, at all. 😅
