    Darn I missed it. But during these videos I can't stop thinking, what an awesome job!! You get to get paid to craft and not worry about buying materials especially wood!! How did you land such an awesome gig! Very entertaining. I can't wait to try an inlay!

    Being able to do this quickly as opposed to having to use a trace function in another program is great. Will have to look into this once it releases.

    Can Origin do "Double Bevel" inlays? If the bit could be tilted a few degrees it would create a wedge "part" that could fit tightly into the pocket? Thank you!

    Will there be an option to stich pictures when something is larger than the picture frame?

    • @Shapertools
      @Shapertools  Год назад

      Technically, tiling is not a supported workflow within the Trace App. We definitely understand that there are projects that require a larger output, and internally, we’ve had some success tiling the Frame and using indexing markers on the sketch itself.

    Awesome tool. Can you accidentally go outside the trace line when routing the pocket?

    • @Shapertools
      @Shapertools  11 месяцев назад

      On Origin the cut will correct inside the line.

    You went from the trace straight to routing the negative - the pocket. How did you get there? Trace created a single vector file out of the outline drawing you drew. But the shapes you loaded on to the shaper are separated into different files. How did you get from a single vector drawing of a flower to the separate shapes in separate files?

      They used Shaper Studio.
      It was briefly referenced in the beginning when they discussed how they separated out each part/petal. When you bring the svg into Studio it gives you each part as separate objects as well as the entire shape/shadow of the svg. I hope that helps!

    Good job guys, I can't wait to get my Trace, I have so many ideas to use it with. Question: there wasn't a scale shown , was that automatic ? could you have changed it? Thanks

    • @Shapertools
      @Shapertools  Год назад

      Trace will capture in-scale to the drawing, but the scale can be adjusted in Studio or other vector editor very easily!

    What's the interior dimensions of the Trace frame? Have you tried any tiny inlays with it yet? Thinking guitar fretboards.

    • @Shapertools
      @Shapertools  Год назад

      Hi Jason,
      The opening is 10 ½” × 7 ¼”, or 265mm × 185mm.
      We've done some small, detailed drawings! We'll have more demos as we go, but note that the early bird price is only available on Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/shaper/shaper-trace-go-from-sketch-to-vector-in-seconds?

    I notice you being real precise in your tracing, based on that am I correct that we're going to have some issues with the images that are created if our trace lines have some tails at the corners? How easy are those to remove after trace has taken the image?

    • @Shapertools
      @Shapertools  Год назад +2

      Great question! You will be able to edit and select aspects of your Trace drawing within the app.

    There anyway to make trace larger objects say something like 24x24 inches,i traced a part on a machine and took several tries,this would have sped up the process

    Very nice. I looking forward to Trace. Question? For little more picture, does the frame come Al little more bigger? Just DIN A3? Greets from Germany.

      Thanks for the feedback, and for supporting us! Currently there is only one size of Trace Frame, but we’d love to hear what dimensions you’re interested in, and what your use cases are! Share your feedback at hello@shapertools.com

      @@Shapertools If you place a few strategic markers - wouldn't it be easy enough to stitch multiple traces in Studio?

    Does this work for 3-D printers?

    • @Shapertools
      @Shapertools  Год назад

      As long as the 3D Printer program you use can accept SVG's, as that is the file type that Trace converts drawings to.
