(Chapter) 54 of the Qur'an is the ONLY chapter in the Qur'an entitled "Al-Qamar" which means "Moon".
And the word "moon" is mentioned only once in this chapter, in the first verse.
If we were to count all the remaining verses immediately after this specific verse 54: 1, until the end of the Qur'an, we would be counting exactly {1389 verses}! The year 1389 AH on the Muslim calendar corresponds exactly to 1969 on the Gregorian calendar, the year in which man landed on the moon for the first time.

Islam and The Quran:
(Part 2)
Islam means submission to Allah (Almighty God) and worshipping Him alone without associating any partners/deities with Him because He is the only one worthy and has the right to be worshipped, praised and glorified, the one and only Supreme Lord of the Worlds, The Greatest, The Most High, The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing, The All-Hearing, The Most Wise, The Most Merciful and Compassionate, Owner of the Day of Judgement, Owner of Majesty and Honor, The One with no beginning and no end and there is nothing like unto Him, He begets not, nor is He begotten. The Creator and Sustainer of the heavens and earth and everything in between and nothing moves in the creation and universe without His knowledge and authorisation. His Greatness is so incomprehensible that even if all the creation from the beginning to the end of time spent every second of their existence glorifying and praising Him, it would not be a drop in the ocean of what He truly deserves.
Also, Islam is to obey Almighty God's commandments, enjoining good and forbidding evil, believing in His angels, books/scriptures and prophets, and believing in the day of judgement, heaven and hell.
Islam started with Adam (first man and prophet) and was completed with the Quran and the final prophet.
All the previous prophets and messengers (e.g Solomon, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc) who came after Adam and before the final prophet were all sent with one and the same message which was to convey Islam.
All the people who lived at the time of the previous prophets and followed them are all called muslims (follower of Islam).
All previous prophets who came before the final prophet were sent specifically with task of conveying Islam and God's message to their own people and nation. However, as there will be no more prophets to come after the final prophet who is known as the universal prophet as he had the task of conveying Islam and God's message to the whole of mankind, everyone who lives from the time of the last prophet until the end of time will have to follow the final prophet as the way to reach Almighty God and find salvation.
A person may question why the need to follow a prophet in order to serve Almighty God or that they already believe in God through one of the many other religions in the world and why the need to follow the final prophet as they already follow one of the previous scriptures or prophets.
The answer is quite simple, Almighty God is the legislator and we humans are subjected to His laws. All previous legislation sent to previous prophets were meant for a particular people and for a particular period of time but becomes outdated when a new legislation is revealed and the people were required to follow the new and latest legislation.
For example, if a person who comes back to work for a company which they left twenty years ago cannot expect to follow the company rules which existed twenty years ago as throughout the years the company updated and introduced new rules, therefore the person must follow the latest upto date company rules.
For example, if a person returns to a country they left thirty years ago cannot expect to follow the laws of the country which existed thirty years ago. The government of that country updates and introduces new laws evey so often or when the need arises and everyone must comply with the country's latest and current upto date laws.
Likewise, all previous scriptures became outdated when the latest upto date revelation and legislation (Al Quran) was revealed.
Almighty God sent many revelations and legislation throughout the ages and every time a new legislation was revealed it would include new laws or update previous legislations. When the Quran was revealed, it was the latest, most upto date, final and complete revelation and legislation which means no new revelation or legislation will be revealed after it and everyone from the time of its revelation until the end of time will have to comply and adhere to this revelation and legislation if they want to serve Almighty God as He wants to be served and worshipped.
For a person to distinguish a path/religion as the true correct path, they would want to see something amazing or want some signs to convince and reassure them that this is the clear true way. The answer to this is the Quran. It is full of signs and miracles to distinguish and validate itself as the clear truth and the light which brings people out of darkness.
The previous prophets were also sent with signs and miracles to convince the people that they were prophets. The final prophet was given the Quran as the greatest sign and miracle ever given to any prophet and messenger as he was given the greatest task ever given to a prophet which was to convey the message of Almighty God to the whole of mankind whereas all the previous prophets and messengers were only given the task to convey the message of Almighty God to their own people or nation.
Also the miracle and sign which was given to the final prophet needed to stand the test of time as the message of Almighty God. The answer to this is the Quran as it is the evidence which proves itself as a sign and miracle at any given time from the time of revelation until the end of time.
A creator who creates a creation for a purpose will want the creation to do exactly what the creator wants it to do and how the creator wants the creation to do it and will not accept what the creation decides as the correct way to serve its purpose.
Hence the reason why Almighty God sends prophets and messengers to teach and show the people exactly how Almighty God wants the people to serve and worship Him and anything that He did not legislate will not be accepted by Him.
Life is a gift and a great favour to humans as we are given the opportunity to attain entry into eternal heaven by serving our purpose of life and should feel privileged and grateful to be chosen, created and blessed with this opportunity.
Every human soul before coming to earth happily and willingly agreed as a precondition to take the covenant with Almighty God that we will fulfil our purpose of life on earth which is to worship Him. Almighty God mentions in the Quran that He created Man for the sole purpose of worshipping Him and that we came from Him and to Him we will return.
Conclusion:
Everything in existence is in order for a purpose and if there was no purpose, there would be no order and existence.
If a person ponders deeply about the magnificent design, engineering and balance of the creation, they will not find any flaws/void and will realise the creation is in perfect order. This is mentioned in the Quran, that Almighty God will make His signs apparent within themselves and what is around them to those who use their intelligence.
They will only come to one conclusion that this must be the creation of a superior intelligent and powerful creator and it is evident that the purpose of the creation of nature is to serve as a source of provision for human life.
This must also mean there is a purpose to the life of a human being as it would not make sense for a creator to sustain human life without a purpose.
Therefore, life cannot be meaningless and only about survival, pleasure or simply for the sake of living and using the provisions the world has to offer when in reality the world is nothing but a stage for the test of life to take place.
Almighty God tells mankind in the Quran the purpose of their creation and that He has chosen Islam as the only acceptable path that will reach Him.
This claim being made to mankind in the Quran could be of paramount importance which needs to be taken into consideration as it claims to have serious consequences for non compliance. The claim can only be verified as the truth if the Quran can be authenticated as being from the One it claims to be from.
This is where a person needs to listen to the recitation of the Quran whilst understanding the words being recited and decide for themself by using rational and logical reasoning to determine if the Quran is truthful in its claim, that it is a revelation from Almighty God and the most important information/knowledge for mankind so they can find the way to salvation in the hereafter.
If a person is convinced that the Quran is truthful, then it will become their most valuable asset as the information/knowledge from the Quran will benefit and progress them in the hereafter. As for the information/knowledge of the worldly matters is only temporary fixations which only benefit short term and cannot be used to progress in the hereafter as it was only useful for the worldly matters.
Now, after the truth has been made clear, a person has the choice to either turn away from the truth and carry on living according to their own will and desires and be counted as the arrogant one and join the same fate as the devil who disobeyed Almighty God out of arrogance or will they accept and embrace the truth by submitting and living according to the will of Almighty God.

Islam and The Quran:
(Part 1)
The Quran is the final revelation to the whole of mankind from Almighty God and was revealed to the final Prophet and Messenger Muhammad (pbuh). The Quran is the exact unaltered speech/spoken word of Almighty God which was brought down from the heavens to the prophet by angel Gabriel. The word 'Quran' in the arabic language means 'recite'.
The prophet was illeterate but the most noble and trustworthy person with the best character ever found in a human being.
He started receiving this revelation at the age of 40 and when he started reciting these words to the people, they knew firstly these are not his own words because he is illeterate and not capable of producing these words and secondly they knew he is not lying beacause he was known as the most trustworthy person as he proclaimed that this is the speech of Almighty God who has chosen him as a Prophet and Messenger and that he was sent as a warner to mankind and a bringer of glad tidings for those who believe and follow that which has been revealed to him. He continued to receive revelation for 23 years until he passed away at the age of 63.
He lived in a society where the majority of people believed in superstition and worshipped idols, however the prophet never worshipped an idol and used to retreat to the mountains and spend time in seclusion pondering about life where he was visited by the angel Gabriel with the first revelation of the Quran.
The Quran is Almighty God speaking to mankind and His final word and message to mankind, a remembrance, guidance and healing for mankind, God's law for mankind, letting us know our origin, who we are, where we came from, where we are going, the purpose of life and creation, prophet stories, past and future events, major historical events and highlights some of the greatness of creation which we understand as science.
The Quran is the last and final edition from a series of revelations from Almighty God. The Quran distinguishes the truth from falsehood and clears what is right and wrong.
Speech consists of two components: content and delivery (i,e what you are speaking about and how you are saying it with your choice of words).
When you listen to the Quran (speech of Almighty God) which was revealed in the 7th century and you observe the content you will realise that no human is capable of producing anything like the content of the Quran as its not possible to speak about the unseen or events which took place thousands of years ago or the scientific facts mentioned in the Quran which was only discovered in the 20th century.
When you observe the delivery of the content with the choice of words (how the content is being presented/delivered/spoken), you will realise no human is ever capable of producing the level of eloquence of the majestic speech of the Quran with the choice of words befitting to Almighty God.
The Quran was revealed in the arabic language which is a rich and versatile language with its vast words and literature and the literary academics in arabia were known for their excellence in literature and poetry were all silenced from the awe of the unique superior style of linguistic literary of Quran and the challenge still stands which was made by God in Quran that even if the world got together, will not be able to produce a verse (sentence) like it.
The Quran is not a book of literature, poetry or science (does contain scientific facts).
The Quran is Divine Speech and has its own superior level and unique style of linguistic literary which is why the Quran is also known as the linguistic miracle. Every verse is a miracle, a sign.
When we listen to the recitation of the Quran, we feel our soul and body melt and tremble from the awe, power and beauty of the words of the Quran and feel tranquil, humble and at peace as our soul and body connects and responds to it like a signal as though the soul recognises it. Afterall, this is the purpose of the Quran, to connect with mankind and provide guidance.
The Quran is literally from out of this world beyond the creation, beyond time, dimension and human comprehension and is the only tangible connection and communication we have from our Creator on earth.
It is not possible for humans on earth to fully comprehend and appreciate the full power and might of the Quran as Almighty God mentions in the Quran that If this Quran was sent down upon a mountain, you would have seen the mountain humbled and fall apart from the fear of Allah (Almighty God).
It is reported that when revelation came down to the prophet whilst he was riding his camel, the camel would fall flat on its body and the prophets forehead would sweat and he would go into a trance like state as he recited the words which were being revealed. His companions immediately knew that it was not the prophet speaking but rather it was Almighty God who was speaking and some of the companions wrote down the words and others memorised it.
The Quran is the everlasting miracle for mankind to follow until the end of time and cannot be altered, distorted or corrupted (even by a single letter) like the previous scriptures revealed before it as God mentions in the Quran that He will make this revelation easy to remember and will protect and preserve it in the hearts (memorise) of the believers.
The Quran is the everlasting evidence and proof for mankind that Islam is the truth as a person has to acknowledge that it is not possible for an illeterate man from the desserts of Arabia in the 7th century of producing these words unless it is divine intervention and revelation from Almighty God as the only logical and rational explanation.
Furthermore, when you consider the prophecies made by the last Prophet about events which will take place near the end of time which are being clearly fulfilled only reaffirms the fact that he received this knowledge from Almighty God as only Almighty God knows about the future but disclosed some of this information to the last prophet so the prophet can warn the people to take heed when they see these prophecies being fulfilled.
All of this so we feel content in our heart and dont feel lost and lonely in this world like how an orphan child would feel if they were to grow up not knowing who their parents are. A person who stays connected to the Quran will find contentment and peace in life through reciting, memorising, understanding and acting upon it.
The Salah (real meaning: contact/connect) which is also known as the Islamic five daily prayers is a muslim's meeting with Almighty God which is performed five times a day at specified times is commanded to the one who has believed as an act to manifest their belief and faith and the Quran is recited within the salah but is also recited outside of salah for remembrance, praise and glorification.
This is how Almighty God has instructed us to establish our remembrance of Him by keeping contact and connection with Him five times a day like how a person would regularly visit and keep contact with a person they love and care. God is pleased with the person who strives to perfect the recitation of Quran out of their love and awe of the speech of God just like how a teacher loves the student who values and remembers their words.
Almighty God says in the Quran that this Quran is for those who are conscious of Almighty God. So if a person believes there is a God and He uses prophets and messengers to communicate with mankind but not sure what its all about and want know the truth and answers to life then the Quran has all the clear answers like the day from the night as it is the complete truth from Almighty God.
Furthermore, it is encouraged for a person to question and scrutinise the information to ensure they have total conviction and use rational reasoning so they can believe with certainty.
