With enthusiastic faces like that, one just knows that her kids are learning to carry on this tradition. Glad to see that in children.

I have had my apple pealer/slicer for about 30 years. My 43 year old son and I were talking about the pealer last week. He couldn’t believe I still have it.

I never thought about water bath canning apples, but that's a great idea! We've got some apple trees that are productive but the fruit is kinda mushy and doesn't store well. They'd probably do well canned and used in cooking rather than fresh eating.

The great thing is, you can use the canned apples for all sorts of things like pies or applesauce, baking, cooking, or just eating!

If I may make a suggestion. There's probably a way that you could probably solve the problem with the Apple Peeler: There are Apple Peelers on the market that can be more securely attached to one's workspace that have underside clamps. That may solve the problem with your apple peeler issue.

Yeah, it was attached to the workspace securely. That wasn’t the issue. It’s fine, I’m over it, I already returned it.

I was gifted a number 10 can of peeled sliced apples packed in water a few years ago. I turned it into apple sauce and froze it in bags

Hello. I was wondering what canning book you were using? It looks very easy to understand. I also just peel my apples my apple peeler was more trouble than it was worth. By the way, your apples look yummy.
