Looks like the end of an era though and we’ll have to push the reset button. Just to think, we could’ve had a D-Line with Suh, Avril, Ansah and Aaron Donald. That would’ve been scary

Those last two games are what the media publicized, but what others don't know is that we actually have a great D that will only get better with more depth in the secondary, more experienced players, and players coming back from injury. 2013 Super Bowl Champs indeed!
Nate Burleson said it best, a combination of injuries and losing that hunger they had the year before. They lost the chip on their shoulder, and were too content with making the playoffs, expected another playoff season to just come to them. But they will be back with the chip on their shoulder this season. im looking forward to it.
Looking back on this season having another CB... Safety's that were not hurt (now we have Quin and I think a healthy Delmas THANK GOD!) And having Best REALLLLLLLLY helped in the pass game! (now we have Bush!) Idk about the other Lions fans but I have a feeling we are going to be the same team we were in 2011 in 2013! LETS GO LIONS!!! Draft Milliner on Ansha! I just want a CB like Milliner or Hayden or Poyer that will help get turn overs!!!!

I completely forgot how many big plays Eric Wright made! No wonder Tampa gave him such large money! Well, looks as though he may be available again. Lions may want to look into having a reunion ;0)
If the defense in 2011 was any good at covering the pass, imagine how far we could have actually gone. At the very least 11-5 without the week 17 Packers game leading to a playoff game vs the Giants instead of the Saints, which could have changed everything that year
damn we were missing Eric Wright big time...he was in every clip almost...i know we need an Oline and a DE..i get it...pass rusher gotta have it Oline to protect shitty Matthew "i throw the ball 70 times a game side arm" Stafford but.....DRAFT DEE MILLINER if he doesnt get taken...get a shut down corner along side chris Houston..we dont have to worry bout the secondary anymore...and i get it...defenselive lines make a secondary in most cases..and no i wasnt sayin Eric Wright was a shutdown lol
Watching this makes me very pissed off at Cliff Avril. All these highlights in 2011? Did not show up at all in the playoff game in New Orleans or the entire 2012 season and still felt like the Lions were disrespecting him for his pay. He is lucky he got to go to Seattle, and he wasnt that big a part of that team. Seahawks would have won Super Bowl without him. If I ever see Cliff Avril in person, I will spit in his face because that is pretty much what he did to Lions fans.
I agree to a certain extent but Jim Schwartz regime was a loser regime, the teams we even beat in 2011 werent playoff teams except tim tebos broncos. but other than that we were still an undisciplined loser team. Hopefully the caldwell regime can turn things around for us quick because if not we're going to lose calvin johnson soon just like we lost sanders.
I agree. I'm also sure that we should have beaten the Packers that last time. Worst officiating I have ever seen. They were horrible to both teams but more on the Lions. Nothing new though. Until we win the Super Bowl, we will never get any respect.

Our Defense is so underrated. It was just those last two games that we played bad. Other than that we had a GREAT defense!
