Great selection of books. I am sooooo excited for Bear, I loved her debut it was brilliant. Plus as a 🐻 anything 🐻 based or titled I want to read. I really want to read Liz Moore, I’ve a few of her books and have meant to for a while, her forthcoming one sounds amazing. The Coast Road is hiiiiigh up on my summer reading list.
Loved Sandwich, All the Colors of the World and Same As It Ever Was .. currently reading God of the Woods! Thanks for other summer recs AND clearing up why Liz Moore’s new novel wasn’t a June pick! Fingers crossed for July!
Welcome to the Chee Hive!! Have you read How to Write an Autobiographical Novel? I **love** him and Edinburgh is one the most haunting painfully beautiful books I've ever read. I'm so happy you picked it up and hopefully it continues to be discovered (I also low key think/have thought for years that it COULD potentially in the right hands, of course, make for a really good musical. like a tiny, dark chamber piece kind of musical or maybe even a small opera🙈 I know given the subject matter the idea of musicalizing that story might get eyes raised but idk, i've always thought that, that and Ricardo Piglia's Burnt Money have been my two go to "this could work as a musical" choices)

I loved Liz Moore’s first book! Can’t wait. Hope it’s a BOTM pic
I bet it could be!
The Unseen World and Heft by Liz Moore are fantastic also.
I’ve never even heard of those! Thanks!

I haven’t but that’s what I’m reading next! And that’s an interesting idea about a musical.
I was disappointed in The Guncle Abroad. I really wanted to like it . I enjoyed the first one so much and he seems like such a great guy.
