Hello Ma'am, Buyer is issuing the LC to us (my company is India) but Supplier is another company in another country (Tanzania, South Africa) and they won't be accepting LC so we have to pay them upfront. Will there be any issues in the payment between us and the buyer, since we won't be shipping the product bill of lading will be in the supplier's name ?
Crystallization of bills is outside the purview of UCP or URC. In India crystallization is governed by FEDAI guidelines which has left it to individual banks to formulate their own policies - 'Authorised Dealers should formulate own policy for crystallisation of foreign currency liability into rupee liability, in case of non-payment of bills on the due date.'

In how many days a sight bill under LC is to be crystallized if applicant doesn't pay? Is there any time limit mentioned in UCPDC 600 or in URC 522??
